Maybe it was a leather strap? I am just stating what the article says and find it interesting both officers are being held in suspension. Why would that happen without suspicions.

I don't think its uncommon for officer involved in any shooting to go on paid leave. Typically unions have it also in the contract a "quiet period" of days before they can be interviewed.Maybe it was a leather strap? Listen buddy that was a Glock but it identified as a p320 when it happened so it technically was not a GlockHoly cow, this is insane. Holstered Glock UD. We must ban Glocks from all ranges.
So what this means is that for the gun to go off the trigger needs to be pulled or manipulated in some sort of way correct? Because it would not be possible for a firearm to go off without the trigger being pulled ever so slightly.I remember this video (pretty old one at that), the guy who got shot stated it was a piece of clothing that got snagged between the holster; it only went off after he bent down to reach something. Clear indicator that the trigger was pulled.
Depends on the platform. So what this means is that for the gun to go off the trigger needs to be pulled or manipulated in some sort of way correct? Because it would not be possible for a firearm to go off without the trigger being pulled ever so slightly.

What else is there to explain? I just showed you an example of an unsafe striker fired gun going off without pulling the trigger. Not all guns are designed well.
It's pretty well documented that P320's have had multiple rolling changes in the internal design, Sig clearly knew something was up from the start. It's also not a coincidence that the P365 lineup uses a completely different FPB design compared to the P320 and nobody has had safety issues with those.

Right but you'll never find or show a P320 that can do that haha. It is well known they had model updates after release, just like the M9 before it. It's normal. What else is there to explain? I agree. Every manufacturer of, well, anything would be foolish not to do ongoing modifications that improve their product.Right but you'll never find or show a P320 that can do that haha. It is well known they had model updates after release, just like the M9 before it. It's normal.
