Glock or Smith?

After training for a year with a 43, I could not shoot straight to save my life with that gun. Picked up a shield 1.0 a few weeks ago and fell in love shot great right out the box and feels pretty good. Glock looks better and feels better in the hand, but I would take a shield x/1.0 over a glock!

To be honest I miss the Glock 43 it was nice to look at would of been a cool paper weight since for me thats all it was good for lol

How do you feel about the thin “backstrap” profile of Shield X? It just didn’t seem right to me. If it had the shield plus profile but as long as the X. It would be money.

I've only held and not shot the X and it was definitely too small for me. The grip length isn't really an advantage either because you can just run extensions on the plus.

Ive shot both, but carry neither.
I liked shooting the shield x a million times more than the 43x

Shield X shoots better than my G43, carries just as good, it’s still slightly “stiffer” working but it’s been reliable. I don’t like the slide stop vs slide release, it feels like S&W just doesn’t take the time to get the slide stop/release smoothed out properly at the production level. I do like the manual safety, but most disagree with me on that..

I went with Talon grips for the texture, the S&W texture is really good when shooting and really hard on my side belly when I’m carrying.

Shield Plus for sure in the current landscape but once the TriggerTech Ace Slimline comes out I’ll switch to my SS CR920XP

Shield Plus, and it's not even close. The S&W factory pinky extension is a game-changer on the flush 10 (and S&W sells it in a 3-pack for $20 now) with no change to concealability. Shoots flatter, more comfortably, and (in many reviewers' hands) more accurately. Since you're limited to 10 with either configuration, go with the one that shoots better and has a more concealable grip....

You can also put on a Shield X slide or a Carry Comp Slide for an even better shooting experience.

Glock 43X gets my vote. Carried one for work and it never failed me. I'm talking about current production... Not the upcoming model that has been dittled by Rob "Big Lips" Bonta with new liberal features. Absolutely no magazine disconnect safeties on a carry gun...

What job do you carry a G43X at? Personal protection ?

Shield or P365. The video is a busted trigger return spring. That is old and silly. Do maintance.

I have owned and carried 42, 43/43x Shield, Shield Plus, Shield plus OR, Shield Plus Comp, BG 2.0, BG 2.0 Comp, Beretta 21a, 84BB, 80x, and P365-380 / P365. The P365 family are the best for me when it comes to size, concealablilty, shoot ability.
