Winchester M1 Carbine that was at D-Day (Utah Beach) and was a bring back from my great grandfather. My M1 Garand, M1917, M1903, 03-A3 and my Gewehr 43 that I had to search high, low and everything in between for, while simultaneously convincing the guy who was going to consign it to sell it to me instead and giving him the sob story of how I’d been looking for one for several years after my grandfather sold the one he had. The Gewehr was a ‘right place, right time’ deal for sure.

Edit: sorry, I’m a moron, I didn’t see the handguns in the title. My point still stands though, after all, a rifle is still a gun that’s held in your hands, so it’s *technically* a handgun, amiright?

Classic DA/SA Sigs, Mossberg 500/590 pump shotguns, and lever action rifles, a few firearms my dad gave me for a milestone birthday are the ones I don’t intend to ever sell. Everything else, I could see selling at some point. Not in any rush to sell other items but may do so in the future.

Things get bad enough, catastrophic health or financial wipeout, and you will sell anything.

I had a friend in the 1980s who needed to fund something else and sold down to just one firearm, a .357 mag revolver. For over 20 years that was all he had for home defense. He eventually bought more.

The only two I’d absolutely never sell are my CMP M1911A1 and my customized Beretta 92FS. There are some that I’d have a hard time selling like my near-new low serial first generation Walther P99 and my CHP S&W 4006TSW, but I’d part with them for the right price. Anything else like my Glocks and Sigs are easily replaced and I’d sell if someone wanted to buy them.

I learned my lesson, never sell. A few years a go I replaced my S&W Mod. 13-3. Last week I DROSED a new SIG P220. Two down, one to go, S&W Mod 10, 6 inch pencil barrel.
