was not something just passed last year for california's politicians to increase their salaries? i could have sworn that just happened last yearthey don't in state government and government in general because it's all union. Unions don't get merit based raises you just get raises for existing, which is good and bad obviously. But if they work for the county they absolutely do not get "merit" based raises, it's all according to the pay schedule https://file.lacounty.gov/SDSInter/lac/1043266_alpha.pdf
freedomWhat I don't understand is what do people think they will be missing?
you are a consumer, correct? yes, of course you are. every human is.Consumers in general are pretty stupid honestly, just look at all the reactionaries in this thread who won't even read the rules but keep posting about how it does this or that. They have every opportunity to make a meaningful argument based in reality but instead choose to just talk. I should know better than to expect a thoughtful conversation here but I like to suffer

that is a tool also. create a problem and then solve it for everyoneA "solution" from a problem they created... lets import gas when we had our own refineries... lets push for EV's cause gas car bad... ohour gas tax...
Just like the gun bans, the law didn't stop anyone. I see everyone with flavored vapes stillYep apparently a cigar with flavored tobacco is dangerous for the teens

Maybe you should take a safety training course and have a background check. Tires are deadly. the pressure in them can increase and exit with great force. they kill children every dayNo valve disconnect!![]()
yes, we are still running out of water. the point, the world is made of water humans literally cannot run out of water. make desalination a mandate. change the regulations so a water supply can open up. until then yes humans are running out of land water, california specifically. hence the endless drought we have been in, no ? this is the part that you can not grasp. but you want to promote more regulation and control? the notion of wasteful, believe it or not is literally subjective. just think about thatThere's a guy in this thread who in response to the idea that low water usage appliances have been helpful says "but we still run out of water so what's the point". These people are real, and a lot more common than someone who isn't reactionary so in many cases for conservation, the only option is a mandate because Americans tend to want the wasteful thing vs the efficient thing.

how is this a 'great unknown?' this is what they do . there are decades of history of them doing this. strange, are you in your 20s?She didn't make the policy, the policy was passed by the legislature. She sounds qualified though. None of you even know how government works it makes sense why you are afraid of it, the great unknown.
did you seriously use, or try, to use the meaning of the constitution from california ? like whoait's how our government works, in every state. So the constitution disagrees with you. over 100 years of SC case law:
But i can't cant get my drew estates javasJust like the gun bans, the law didn't stop anyone. I see everyone with flavored vapes still
how??? california keeps taxing and increasing fuel costs. they just added another tax at the beginning of this year. they keep buying oil from iran and then ship it to china to be refined. they have shut down a couple of refineries due to regulations and other whatnots. they want to make EVs a law and ban all fuel vehicles. so again, how?Fair enough but what if they are right and it does actually save Californians a billion dollars a year in fuel costs?
and here it is, your true intentions. you are in support of control. it is obvious, well to me anywaysThe free market is a myth, I'll refer you to the game Monopoly for an example of how competition doesn't actually exist and how power abhors a vacuum.
Do you see the condescension and arrogance in this? The absolute nanny state mindset? These people are real, and a lot more common than someone who isn't reactionary so in many cases for conservation, the only option is a mandate because Americans tend to want the wasteful thing vs the efficient thing.
I asked you this before. do you have any clue what it takes or cost to uproot? we can just simply remove the people that keep making these laws and suchYou guys are choosing to live here though, it seems very stressful
clinton created MBS and spurred the CDS ?The same thing happened in banking under Clinton which resulted in the 2008 crisis.
