How many guns does it take to be considering having “too much”

My wife questioned me about my guns and I questioned her about her shoes. We don't talk about neither anymore.

100%, people also say about quality vs quantity. For me, I prefer to have a variety. Good loaners and if something happens to it, oh well, here’s another.

I’ve heard someone “gasp” when “more than few” was the answer.

I’ve heard someone be shocked of “2 and a half” when asked how many AR’s.

You have "too much" when you say to your wife that there's the coolest must have $6,000 rifle you want, along with a $4,000 scope, and you want to have a it accurized by a top gunsmith for another $2,000...... and she responds, "that sounds wonderful dear. Just leave your left nut in a jar of formaldehyde on the dining table before heading to the gun store.

I guess that means I only have one more gun purchase after that.

I don't think "too many" is a hard number. If someone has "too much" (guns or anything else), we just know. Interestingly, we never seem to have "too much" of anything ourselves.

There was an article about someone getting caught doing something, and they found 500 rounds, talking like it was some crazy-prepper-level arsenal. Dude, no, that’s “I need to order more soon” levels.

I get nervous when I get down to 2,000 rounds of 9 mm.

Due to fixed mag requirements I can't reuse my guns once the magazine is shot empty. I guess CA lawmakers want me to own a gun per magazine I own? Expensive, but you know, this is California and cost of living is high so that's just part of it.

Forget the number of guns....Is it a problem that Im rethinking a walk in closet as the new "safe" rather than the pandoras box of just a bigger safe?

Its what I do. Tall enough for my rifles, enough room for ammo and accessories. No kids in the house tho so its just a really good door lock lol
