why on earth would you carry exposed in an urban environment? SMMFH

I wouldn’t go to the hood open carrying; higher possible risk of an attempt of crash outs trying to steal it or pull a jack move, and running/driving off with it. Concealed is better in that environment.

Sub-urbs, open carry, less risk, but probably just need to not mind a Karen making complaints about it. In the early phases of normalization; probably will have some calling the cops occasionally.

I remember reading into that, regarding certain IA’s such as county based giving it to them, it has something to do with if certain entities request it, they are required to release that information to them?

My county had a freedom of information act requested for all ccw permit holders. And my sheriff denied the request. But doj. Accidentally listed it on a website or something

I heard that my county discloses information about CCW holders. I wanted to see what information was being shared about me. I made the request online and got the entire list of CCW holders in my county within 24 hours. Sure enough my full legal name was on the list along with 1200+ others but at least my address and city wasn't disclosed

When it comes to family, friends, or folks at Church, how do you all decide to disclose that you CCW? If you share the fact with anyone at all?

Personally, it is only immediate family, friends, and anyone who does a PPT with me because I use my permit for both the FSC (firearm safety certificate) and proof of residency.

I tell everyone because I don't care who knows. Why hide that you are pro 2A? That being said I don't advertise in public and I don't ask for permission either.

California as a state did or wanted to make this public information. They most likely lost in court but if the damage was done because they don't care about your safety and they already published it. The internet is forever.

My wife and kids (all adults now) know that I carry. They know my hobby and I’ve trained them all at least to know how to use them. But they are not into guns; still they are cool with me carrying.

Some close friends and relatives know I can pack but they never know when. If they ask, mostly out of curiosity, I just give them the look

My family and a few close friends/co workers know (ran into a co worker at my CCW class). It was kind of hard not to talk about the process/wait time through LASD as I was going through it.

Now that I finally have it, it doesn't really come up.

Pretty much only the 3 people the police called to interview about me for my CCW, my immediate family, spouse and my office manager (who approves of my carry during work hours)

Immediate family that I already trust with knowing I have guns and my local FFLs where I use the CCW to skip FSC/2nd proof of residence. Outside of that, lips are sealed.

Wife and family know’s but it’s no ones biz Red flag laws suck…. have a friend going through some right now because of someone saying he was brandishing by just carrying someone saw it getting into his car (Karen of a man called the cops and took down his plate.) yes it happens.

As far as advertising badges and t-shirts that say ccw permit holder or whatever else, you are just IMHO looking for trouble.
