Is anyone still carrying a P320?

To be honest, the P365 platform is pretty amazing.

Been half tempted to start a thread including a poll discussing if you were to do it over again and both 9 mm Glocks and Sig P365 were available in CA, which would you choose. I’ve been shooting Glocks for decades. Though I like my classic DA SA better, Glocks have been a solid and reliable and I still enjoy shooting them. It’s only been over the past few years since I’ve started shooting the P365 pistols. Wow! Reliable though still somewhat new to market and to me (and yes, I’m overly conservative on reliability). With the original size, macro, and fuse it covers all sizes and is slimmer than the Glocks. One upside to Glocks is calibers other than 9 mm.

Beside guns are P220 and P226; 10,000 rounds through the P220 and 6,000 through the P226 with lots of training classes behind them. In process of evaluating a P229 in .357 Sig for CCW. Currently two Glocks (G19 and G21) and P365 on my CCW. My CCW likely to become two P365 (one kept as the small one and the other as a Macro) and P229.

Just curious, with all the drama with the P320, is anyone still carrying it? If so, please share your setup / pics...

The question is why? Why not just carry something else? It's not even that nice of a gun to be worth any risk. there's so many different guns to choose from why that one lol

I’ve avoided the whole P320/P365 trend because I’ve never been able to warm up to Sig’s. I can’t hit the side of a barn from the inside with one, haha!!

Maybe I should relent and give a P365 a try.

Funny thing about the p365. Every time I take it out, the first shot I take goes off with a mind of its own. Then it shoots straight. No effin clue why. Lube in the ramjet throwing off the spin????

blaster 9000, nah. I would still own one though if someone gave it to me. They feel good in the hand and the ones I’ve shot are smooth, but I’m not carrying something that big

I have both the P2000, and the P 2000 SK. Love both. In fact, the S K is riding on my hip right now.

I really like Sig I had a good amount of Glocks and they’re hard to beat .. but these sigs are also really good man ..

Haha!! Sounds like me with every SIG I’ve every tried (and I’ve tried a bunch, haha!!). Still going to try out a P365 I think.

I amazed at how soft shooting the P365 is; to me it feels like a Glock 19. Fits my hand well. During my CCW quals I shot a 94% with it.

P365 is the only Sig I’ve kept. The rest are well not something has ever clicked for me.

P365 is the only Sig I’ve kept. The rest are well not something has ever clicked for me.

I think which pistols one likes has a lot to do with hand feel and that really can vary from one person to another. Little differences can make difference in feel. To keep me from going crazy and trying everything out there, I settle on Glocks and Sigs. They fit my hands well.

Yeah, I’m 92’s and 1911’s. I do have some CZ’s that are good.

If the prices were reasonable. It’s hard justifying to pay so much especially if, God forbid, I have to surrender the firearm to “evidence”. Which is part of the reason I don’t want to carry my beloved EMP.

I have Shield Plus and love it. not DA/SA.. but cheap to replace and has a good manual safety that can’t be accidentally disengaged.

FYI, if you get CCW insurance, one of the benefits is money to replace a firearm taken into evidence. I don’t know the specific details but hopeful it woudl allow one to replace what was taken into evidence.

Haven’t even looked yet. It is on my list to add to my VP9’s.

I'm not sure why everyone assumes anyone who post problems with the Sig P320 is somehow offended if you post something about a Glock.

Just to get this straight you're stating the in 2017 when Sig did their "voluntary redesign" by adding a thinner trigger shoe, lighter sear/striker, and a mechanical disconnector that Sig said this will fix the uncommanded discharges? Also these problems will not happen again?

IIRC there have been more than a few video taped uncommanded discharges with the last 1.5 years which is quite a few years after 2017 so I'm not convinced that the problem was solved. Also a engineering firm along side of a former Sig designer stated the trigger is incomplete and unsafe since the safety blocks the trigger movement not the sear. The P320 relies on a block that is in the FCU unlike the "Glock, P365 and others that utilizes a firing pin block incorporated into the slide hence no uncommanded discharges. So yeah it's not fixed by Sigs voluntary redesign. Also how does Sig try to protect themself? Well in 2025 Sig change their instruction manual in the P320 to state not to load the chamber until you are ready to shoot.
