Why comply? I’m not going to participate at all, and that includes not providing personal information to these people just to get out of their class. At this point, they don’t even know whether I received their crappy little postcard or not. I’m also not going to activate any gift card they send me if their extortion suit against Glock is successful. I just won’t participate period.

In the discussion between the Plaintiff, Glock, and the Judge, it was mentioned that the bulk of the records came from CA DOJ and a few from Glock warranty records.

Recommend we all respond with something like:

I do not wish to be a "class member" in your lawsuit.
Based on my experience with Glock firearms I consider your lawsuit to be unwarranted and lacking merit. In fact I would happily testify in favor of Glock Inc.
Further, I request you reply to this letter with an explanation of how you knew to mail your notice to me, and any other Glock owner who received the letter.

I wonder if these sorts of responses might be discoverable by the defense and used in evidence?
I am not typically some "ohmagersh we need to help defend big company" type of fanboy, but I despise bull money-grab lawsuits.

Which is not to say that you shouldn’t respond as you suggest. The theory of liability seems bogus to me. I’m no expert on gun design, but have defended companies in several class actions.

I am for sure joining this. I am the typical person who is against lawsuits when I see them against firearms. I immediately think it’s some liberal being a pansy trying to make a dollar. That being said, my Glock 23 gen 3 and Glock 22 gen 4 front rails are both pulling from the frame. Glock won’t warranty my gen 4 because it requires a new frame and I can’t get that in CA. And honestly it seems like now the same for the gen 3. That means I am left with a firearm shooting a .40cal with a receding frame.

Way to be very shortsighted on this. Is California messed up? Yes, so your response is to join a lawsuit to get back at Glock and join the other side? We need to join together against all anti gun moves which is exactly what this is.

Most gun owners that like their glocks and actually know how a class action lawsuit works will most likely opt out... educate yourselves people...throwing it away doesnt take you off the suit....
