Thank youthe faster you get your training done the faster you will get your permit.
Generally, we request you wait until you have an appointment scheduled before obtaining your live scan. Please use the live scan form on the LAPD website, or the CCW Unit will not receive the results from the Department of Justice. If you use the incorrect form, you will have to resubmit the correct form and pay a second time for the service.
Training certificates will only be accepted from Training Providers on our approved list and dated no earlier than 6 months before your interview date.
I’m going to schedule the classes then , my background check was completed already from DOJ, FBI, and the firearms. And I know I’m good since I never had any issues with LEO or had any court appearancesLAPD does not care, every permit I have had through them I have submitted training at time of application so my process is quicker. The only reason they suggest waiting is so if you fail livescan, they change training provider, etc. you can't motherlessat them. If you know you are good to go I would schedule it prior to your interview.
By their own admission they accept training certificates up to 6 months prior.
