Anyone have recs for low fee barrel transfer in the LA/SFV area?

If you're ever near Ontario for anything, Ammo Bros. only charges $10 per parts shipment. I know that's not near SFV, but maybe you travel out to this area from time to time? Just FYI.

That's awesome. So many stores charging 10% for barrel transfer.

I'll keep that store in mind, thx!

Hmmm I’m flying to Ontario next month maybe I’ll have a barrel sent there and pick it up…

Anyone know if you need to declare a barrel by itself when flying? Or if TSA or anyone else now considers it a “firearm” in terms of transportation? I would think not but 💩 is crazy these days

I believe you have to declare it and must be in a locked container within your luggage or as a checked-in as a luggage on its own in a locked container.

"Firearm parts, including magazines, clips, bolts and firing pins, are prohibited in carry-on baggage, but may be transported in checked baggage."

You don't not need to declare a standalone gun barrel when flying. But needs to be checked in.

TSA does not classify a barrel by itself as a firearm so it does not require the special declaration process needed for complete firearms or frames/receivers.

That’s what I would’ve thought. Ever hear of an airline requiring it to be locked?

Just got back from Gun Gallery in Glendale. They charged me $20 for barrel transfer.
