not at all, my entire argument is that I want those people to stop posting because they make it harder to use the platform. In a highway clogged with people going 50 in the fast lane, would you rather those people who can't drive speed up to 80 or just stay home? I don't think they can handle driving that fast. If they immediately take the post down after one comment they weren't ready to sell.

People can post outrageous prices and let it sit and others can post comments shaming them. I personally don't see an issue with either. Everyone has their own price points and you can always flame them if you feel it helps others to recognize the price is high and they should keep looking.

So your whole argument boils down to you’re being inconvenienced and everyone should conform to what you find exceptable or you will shame them into conforming and want everyone else to join in.

So interestingly when I brought up that the keyword search was broken (leaving out results that should be showing up) one of the mods looked into it and found that it's likely a database error based on some words being too common due to the large database. None of this has been confirmed as the cause but my own experience with databases tells me it's highly likely, they do weird things as they get larger. By that logic though having less spam ads would go towards solving the broken search function.

I'm not sure why you are offended by what I'm saying to the point of making personal attacks but you are going on the ignore list. You are literally trying to shame me into conforming to your view which is the exact thing you are trying to critique me about

And here I was thinking about buying his overpriced Springfield EMP at $1000 when I sold mine last year for $750.

Funny, about a month or two ago I asked the question are people honest about round counts on here? My observation; a large percentage of the guns for sale had little to no rounds fired, I am incredulous. Just about every answer was yes!

They know there is a decrease in value if they tell the truth if they've fired a lot of rounds through it. There is a financial reward for them to lie. They know that if they can just clean the barrel really good most people won't be able to tell how much its been used or not. I disagree with the other person who replied to you that most people don't shoot very much; have you been to a range lately? They are always busy, at least where I live. No matter when I go its surprisingly busy.

I own guns I've never shot. I would agree with your example - I can't fire more than one box of .45-70 without my shoulder starting to complain. But when I see guys selling a 9mm? I don't buy it. Add 10x to whatever they claim.

Most gun owners probably shoot once a year or less I bet. If the gun has thousands of rounds you will see the wear marks on the surfaces

I have recently purchased 3 items that other members had marked as "pricey" and I have sold 2 items that probably the same members marked as "pricey". Of the 3 items I purchased, I absolutely feel 2 were worth the price and 1 item, I know I overpaid but I REALLY wanted it.

Everyone has a different opinion as to value. Just because it doesn't meet your definition of value doesn't mean they should be shamed.

The amount of people that do those compared to total gun owners must be a fraction of a percent. It's like how many motorcyclists do a trackday at Laguna Seca vs the entire population, less than 1%?

For me, 8000+ rounds changes value because I am thinking I need to spend money on spring changes, etc.

which 9mm actually wears out though? at worst they need new springs at 20k rounds, a CZ you probably want to change the slide stop at 20k, the barrels are good to 100k, I would rather buy a gun with 2k on it than 0 because you know it's ran for 2k.

yeah people seem to think 1000 rounds is a lot but that's just broken in. They did you a favor and saved you 1000 rounds of break in
