Former military, but I haven't fired a weapon in more than 10 years. Just purchased my first handgun and waiting for pickup.
Found this site via Reddit, and I imagine I'll have questions.
 
I was using Calguns, but after repeatedly finding them DOA, I searched and found a Reddit discussion that steered me here. I couldn't be happier with the improved functionality at CAguns.net as opposed to the 1980s BBS clunkiness of the other site. I just wish I knew how to open the eyes of those still putting up with Calguns and get them over here.
 
I grew up in a military family so I've been around guns my entire life. I started my own collection in mid 90's but got more serious in early 2009. That's around the time I also joined Calguns. I'm mainly a pistol and bolt action guy (Savage, Glocks, and Springfield). I'm not really an expert on anything but just another average friendly and helpful gun guy who loves the outdoors. I found this site through one of the discussions on Calguns.

Hey folks. I'm a former Calgunner (same handle) and spent a bit of time on Reddit / GAFS (same handle).
Took a few years off from guns... got super busy with life, work, kids. Calguns seemed to give up the ghost.

I think my Alameda County CCW application is finally getting some movement next month (applied in Sep 2023), so I'm starting to re-engage and found this site on some internet searches. I was shocked to pieces when I saw the Hellcat, P365, P320/M18, and Ruger MKIV on the roster. Wut!?

I was a long time user of the other famous California site. Same user name. Bummer I lost all my itrader but nice to see a new community that functions and has good participation.

Have shot my whole life. Did NRA smallbore as a child then as a smallbore instructor in the Midwest as a summer job after my freshman year of college. Did F class rifle competitions until I had my first kid at 30, did USPSA until I couldn’t practice that enough (kids!).

Now it’s nice my first born and I practice for and go hunting a lot for deer and pigs. Live way up north near Humboldt Bay.

Recently stumbled across this site when doing a google search, and glad to find another community to join!

Former military, but didn't really get into shooting recreationally until my wife wanted to learn about ten years ago, and have been hooked ever since.

I'm mainly a pistol shooter since I live in Huntington Beach, and don't get a chance to go to the mountains or desert as often as I'd like.

I'm always up to meet at the Firing Line, I have a small collection of fun arms, from subcompacts to full size, revolvers and lever guns, and love to share.

New member to the site here. I'm from the SoCal area, and typically like going up to the Oak Tree range in Newhall on the weekends. Just found out about this community so looking forward to being part of it.
 
Semi new signed up last year but did not use it but I saw an update on CAGUNS on Reddit and decided to hop back on. And so far i like what I see hope it grows and I like the classified section thank you!

From SoCal, I am a frequent enjoyer at FT3 tactical in Stanton.

My favorite pistol is my sig p320 m18 because of modularity and I’m so far into the platform and built out a full size to hopefully try out competition event some day.
