Like many others just found the site while waiting for Calguns to get up and running again. Mainly used Calguns for buying. Just listed a WTB on the classified ads. Love the structure of the site!!

Here in Southern CA (Altadena). Love everything from military surplus to modern rifles and handguns. Favorite firearm related channels are Ultimate Reloader and Area 419.

Tried my hand at PRS the last couple of years. Love shooting, hunting, hot rods and vintage British and Harley Davidson motorcycles.

Thanks for the excellent site.

Greetings all, like so many others I found this site after being adrift from Calguns (same handle) for days now and I have to say I'm really liking what I am seeing. I am a CA native mostly residing in the South Bay Area with my go to range being the Sunnyvale Rod & Gun club.
Far to many firearms to list lol, really need to slim it down so I'm happy to have found this site.

Hello all, and thanks for having me!

I'm a regular schlub with no professional experience relating to firearms. I've always wanted to know enough and train enough to be safe and able when it came to recreational shooting and lawful self-defense, beyond a base American interest in guns. I'm a low-level but intentional prepper. I do not carry expectations on myself of tactical expertise. Came here after using calguns.net for many years and reading a recent post on r/caguns about some of their migration woes. I'm based in north San Diego county and shoot mostly out of Iron Sights Shooting Range.

My safe houses a 10/22 I've had for 40 years, a Mini-G, a Mossberg 500, a 340PD, G23, and P365 among other curiosities.

Hello All!
Was 760Knox on CGN, went through all that from the 2010s until it’s “change” 8/8/24 the site seems dead at this point. I think I had 50+ positive transactions.

Found this site on Reddit, heck yes!

I’m in the OC now, enjoy range days at the desert, On Target, and the other classes at Artemis.

Hey everybody, long time calgunner but with the migration/outages, needed to find an alternative. Glad I found this and hello to you all.

Glad you found us! and welcome all the recent Calgunner Refugees! Stability and simplicity is our goal here. 2A needs communities like ours to keep things going so any contributions from posts, helping others, to listings helps.

Discoverd this site thru reddit cause I saw the calguns.net forum was all messy! Glad to have found this forum! Brad from socal Cheers!

I found y'all through reddit, and I'm honestly interested in learning how to build and maintain common firearms. I'm in the east bay, and don't really know any good places to shoot around here.

Navigated here via r/caguns like many folks here. My calguns username is 'hella agg'. I haven't been active on calguns in over a decade (besides BST) so I don't expect anybody to remember but, happy to make acquaintances or get reacquainted with folks!

CalGunner checking in. Friend forwarded me the link to the site (he found it on Reddit). Thanks to the crew keeping this going. I hope it continues to be a place for us

Hi, thanks for the recommendation from reddit. I occasionally lurk this community (gun guys/gals) to egregiously break the tenth commandment.

I spent a year in Texas thinking I was going to move there, but found that the prices for where we wanted to live were just about the same as here in So Cal. Now I'm back with a G43x that I'll be posting soon. Only fired 20 rounds in a CCW course and decided that I'm not built for a concealed weapon sans thumb safety. I know, I know, flame on. :)

Good to meet you all.

CalGunner checking in.
Thank you for checking in!
I'm JerryM from calguns.net.
Glad to see guys from Calguns coming in. We’re happy to have you guys and thanks for dropping a line. It makes the work on the site so much more rewarding.

I did the same thing but ultimately decided not to go. Property tax and utilities really kills the value prop out there.

Always good to see so many new folks introduce themselves as we chug along building our presence in the CA 2A space. It’s a process but as they say.

Trust the process

Reddit sent me here to say hi.
My first handhun: CZ 75 BD
My first long gun: Ruger, you guessed it, 10/22
First guns I ever shot: TOZ-8 and AK-47. Not mine, belonging to the state 🤷‍♂️
Things related to guns I really enjoy: building, installing, or improving stuff and then testing it out at the range.
Good to meet you all here!

Just a Note, if you made a post here mentioning you signed up from Reddit. We've applied a Reddit V2 badge for you.

We're looking to see what would be a good icon for Calguns. We currently have a Jedi badge for Calgun verified accounts, but in an effort to illustrate the diversity of our membership and welcome more Calgunners, we're planning on offering a free version of the icon.

This badge will NOT be a verified badge. The difference is the verified badge means we check your ACCOUNT AGE and you get "iTrader" feedback from us so you are a Verified member for the Marketplace.

The free one, will look different and just represent that you sport Calguns. When we come up with the badge. It will be applied to members who posted in here and available for request.

You can sport both Reddit and Calguns once we get it going.

Hi everyone. Been on CalGuns for a while, but Reddit sent me over, so happy to be here.

I'm in Ventura county, and am mostly into shotguns of all types.
