I'll pass the info for Mike's along to my Biz Dev team, and see what we can do!
Thanks! I have been contacted by a couple people from Staccato getting into california (Ryan, Theresa, Tommy) so it looks like you guys are kicking it into high gear! But what would help the most is to get more dealers going. Hopefully Mike's Tactical can be one, thank you!

Hello All,

I’m new to this site but not firearms. I’m an avid gun enthusiast as well as home based ffl. Looking to provide deals that I can pass along. Though they not all be best, but I usually take customers to the range to try out their new pew pew, give some feedback and or help site in their new rifle. Hope to help you all out. I also will need to thin down my personal collection.

Hi all.
Current AZ resident. Possibly moving to SoCal in a few months. I haven’t lived there since I graduated in 99 and left. Is it as bad as it’s made out to be? How are the ranges? Do they actually check for bullet buttons and all the compliance features? I tried looking up all the laws and I just left with a headache haha.

New here. Only found out about this forum when I why searching why calguns was so slow again. Thank god we have other options.

bullet buttons arent legal anymore, now we have "fixed magazine" (look up AR Maglock or Juggernaut Hellfighter kit.) Or you can go "featureless" where you have the weird looking "not a pistol grip" grips with the fins off the back or weird grip angles, fixed rifle stocks, and no flash hiders. in most ways it is as bad as everybody makes it out to be, but for basically every stupid rule theres a workaround. The handgun roster is the biggest PITA, but just bring your off-roster handguns from out of state and you're good, just no threaded barrels

from my experience, ranges typically don't check for weapon compliance.. but still be careful because there are reports of undercover LE units at public ranges looking for assault weapons, and they could nab you once you drive off the property

Thanks for the reply. This is depressing. Everything I own has threaded barrels. Maybe I should just get into sling shots.

Hey hey hey...finally getting back into guns. Shot a lot of USPSA YEARS ago and then life happened haha. Took a hiatus for about 12 years.

Current stable:
Lots of Glocks still

there is still a workaround there, you would have to bring them into CA with the slides separate from the frames, then have a gunsmith "permanently" install a muzzle device to the threaded barrel while its mounted in the slide (red locktite or rockset is OK) and then you can reassemble the guns legally... only problem is the barrel is basically stuck in the slide at that point and cleaning becomes difficult

Hello, coming back into the hobby, was looking for calguns but i found this website also. it seems more stable than calguns.

I'm trying to get a m&p 2.0 without the loaded chamber indicator and all that. Got sticker shock when I saw how much the taxes jumped up. Paying almost a grand for a m&p makes me itch

currently carry a p2000. impossible to list entire stable

Or have a gun smith cut off the threads. Or buy a spare barrel without threads. All this can be done after bringing the guns into the state, as long as you keep the slides or barrels separated from the frames.

Hello, former longtime Calgunner here. Glad to find a forum that is working well and enjoying the conversations. Enjoy C&R's and former military rifles/pistols. Calguns used to have a monthly C&R shoot in LA area before COVID would be cool if that got started up again perhaps quarterly.

Hello,
Long time calgun member from 2008. Own 1million guns but I only shoot 3 of them. Located in Central Valley and looking to help the gun community in any way I can.

Same user name as calguns. Too bad we can’t transfer our iTrader rating. Hopefully the classified section here isn’t full of scammers from overseas.

What's going on!

Quite literally the new kid on the block - passed FSC 6 days ago but put myself in jail for 3 extra days by jumping the gun and buying a p 10c online... Anyways, I can't wait for my M&P to be released!

Are you in California? P10c is on the roster or did you buy Private Party?

Hello,
I found this site after seeing a reddit post about calguns. Happy to see a new option and hope to contribute, learn and buy/sell here.
