Ok that’s a painful comparison to call an EMP a Prius. How about a Nissan engine in a Cuda.

Also never heard of Heine straight eight before today; but I like them!
In hindsight, it was a harsh analogy. Switch Glock 26 or 43 for EMP. Glocks are definitely the Toyota of guns … not that there’s any wrong with that.

th the EMP you would have to use a period correct metal flashlight or else you get arrested by the fashion police if you ever posted it online

$20 Amazon Grips FTW!

I bought these for my MC Operator, but since I can't pick it up until Friday I wanted to check them out beforehand.

More grippy than the OEM grips. Easier access to the mag release, still look cool, feel well made. May have to order another set for the TRP in Black/Gray to keep with the original color scheme.

Only down sides that I'm seeing is that they are a little short and have a gap at the bottom between the grip & magwell, as well as they are not as long (front to back) to you can see a little wear on the finish where the OEM grips would actually cover.

Overall pretty solid deal IMO. I may still wind up getting the GridLOK grips like I originally intended, but they don't have as cool of a color scheme like these.

I knew it! You are secretly Eli Duckworth, aka 1776_duck from Alchemy Custom. (I get such a kick out of that guy’s retro, early ‘80s range dude vibe. Especially because he was born in the late 90s! 🤪)

I have learned the two dots are in the rear and the single dot is in the front and muscle memory react appropriately. Your comment is funny though!!
Hey, if it’s stupid, but it works, then it’s not stupid. I’m on the same page with tritium sights too, even though the hive mind disapproves. Getting oriented before activating a light is actually a smart move. If the BG you plan to illuminate is armed, flashing that light gives him an excellent point of aim.

Sick! This is exactly what I mentioned above as a nightstand gun I’d consider. I’m currently still in the last century with a K-frame “tachicalized” with orange nail polish on the front blade.

Do you not like the Pachmayer wraparounds that come with the MC Operator?

The Pachmayr grips are great... but it has a magwell on it and it just doesn't look right with them since they are not designed to be used with a magwell. I also don't like the exposed mainspring housing retaining pin. Additionally, I want them to be set up similarly since I plan on shooting L10 & Single Stack with this pair. Keeping them as close as possible will make it easier to switch back and forth between them.

Dang it! Now I want one, in the worst way.

Mine is a CCW so I’ve personalized it for slimness. So far, G10 grips that’re a tad skinnier than stock and deleting the ambi safety. Probably only saved about 1/8” of width, but it was a fun project nonetheless.
How was it removing the Ambi safety. Did you replace the entire safety unit with a strong side only or did you just remove the right side?

CoolHands?

Not too bad. Watched a bunch of YouTube videos first. The guys at my favorite LGS said a gunsmith might be need to fit it, but the one got went in fine and functions correctly. Maybe I got lucky? Not sure if just removing the side for lefties would work or not. The OEM part kinda slots together in the middle. Without the side for left-handers, there’s a hole in the grip frame, because the righties’ side doesn’t go all the way through. That seemed bad so bought a random part off eBay. Full disclosure: whenever I work on my guns, there’s a 50/50 chance I’ll end up taking a bag of parts to an expert, so I’m not the best source 🤷

You definitely got lucky it's not supposed to drop in but if it works it works. It's not actually hard to fit just go slow because if you take too much off you just have to throw it away

These ones are "Guuun", likely come from the same place. Just ordered the CoolHands Black/Gray for the TRP. The photo above is Black/Green since the MC Operator has the green coated frame.
Gotcha, i’ve used both for beretta and 1911’s. Some times you need to fit them a bit. But price is hard to beat for sure.

That’s what my LGS told me. I think I caught a lucky break. I found one on eBay listed as OEM from a Ronin EMP, which, I think, is functionally identical to the EMP 3 we get here. I eyeballed the parts side-by-side and did a tiny bit of filing, but not much at all. It went in when did my first check and didn’t dare do anything else. Definitely going to have the gunsmith check my work when take it in for new sights (aligning sights correctly is way beyond my skill level).

These ones dropped right on the TRP, let's hope they drop right on the MC Operator and the new ones drop right on the TRP, if not no biggie
