PCC Options

Ruger's Fugly PC9 is a pretty good option. Fun to shoot, reliable, accurate, handles +P ammo, not that expensive (at least it wasn't when I got mine), breaks down for backpack carry, and did I mention fun to shoot?

Love my Kalashnikov Kali9. I know they are out of business now, but if you see one in the classifieds I'd jump on it. Good luck

JP-5
I ordered direct from JP, added a Scalarworks mount and Aimpoint T2, currently shooting 124gr handloads with a 60 degree lock piece.

I built mine from an Aero EPC-9 receiver set and then used a Faxon barrel and bolt, but looks like the EPC-9 is gone these days.

Find you a nice, used Marlin Camp Carbine. 9mm or .45 ACP. A PCC from before PCCs were cool.

Just get an AR9 pistol. You're gonna have to deal with the AWB 💩 but whatever. I think the easiest way to get one is to buy the Juggernaut JT-9 because they rostered it. Otherwise you're going to have to go the SSE route with an AR9 pistol lower.

There are some concerns users on this forum have voiced about the juggernaut receivers because they are billet which supposedly can cause the pin holes to lose material if you constantly take it apart. I personally haven't seen any guns exhibit that issue in person so I don't know how widespread it is, or how long it would take for that issue to show up. All I would say is to not constantly take it apart if you're concerned.

softest shooters IME are the MP5 and variants and the MPX. the MPX is criticized for having issues long term. beats me i havent run into them. B&T makes a few different nice 9mm options. but all 3 of those are expensive. but crazy soft shooting. i had a JP but not the JP5. it was 'aight. cz scorpion is reliable and what not but pretty much a blowback like the ruger so they fall in the category of kinda more recoil than one would expect. the Kali9 as i recall used funny magazines. mine also had all kinds of quality issues albeit pretty much cosmetic.

The Ruger PCC is excellent for the price, assuming that doesn't ramp up too much since being "paused". The takedown feature is cool though I keep mine assembled. I have the Magpul stock which is top notch and the comb risers are handy for some optics. The only negative is the weight, and because of the heavy bolt it's not as soft shooting as you would imagine for something that heavy. But it's a 9mm so who cares, a little recoil reminds you you're alive.

I bought mine right after I told myself I would stop buying cheap guns. It was just too cool to pass up.

I built mine from scratch with a used EPC9 upper and lower.
Spent time on gafs, bought a bunch of used parts, taccom barrel, all carbon fiber furniture, jp scs.
Only new parts i bought was a faxon bcg, and the Aems Ronin max optic.
Around $2k total, weighs a hair over 5 lbs without the optic.

I’m already an IRL spy so the fake guitar case definitely fits the aesthetic
