This is my Grandpa's old Colt SAA. I don't know if he made the grips, or what the history is on them, but when you hold this gun it's like holding a piece of the Old West. I haven't seen any others with grips like this, and they seem like they were handmade. He was a big-time hunter, and a excellent carpenter. I was told by an appraiser that it's probably an artillery model. That means basically it was put together from parts from different guns.
