Seeing Glock Gen 3s on here going for $700+. What gives? AB1127 hasn’t been enacted yet

That’s a terrible, unreliable pistol. Even if you upgrade the recoil spring assembly , it sucks. They can bump it until it’s free.

Asking is not the same as getting.
Don't assume that someone actually pays the asking price when the asking price seems to be higher than market value.
Once the law is in effect, you won't be able to buy a new Glock in California at ANY price. I can rest assure you, the second market prices will be easily over $1K for used Gen 3.

If indeed that proposition does go through, I would disagree that Gen 3 Glocks would be going for $1k in the PPT market.
If they do, it would probably only last for a short period of time before people realize there are a lot of better things to do with $1k.
Glocks will be labeled as "almost a machine gun" in California. Many new shooters would love to have it because of the hype.

450.00 max is what I would pay for a 19 and only it it had upgrades of some sort.

G40 is worth it. That’s the ONLY one, though.
I'm amazed at all these guys saying Glocks aren't worth $700. I've owned a lot of guns and lot of very high end guns. If I could only pick one hand gun it would be Glock. Go try and run $4000 Staccato even a little bit dry and see what happens.
Wouldn't this new law effectively ban all striker fired handguns? I think would also ban any transfers, so there wouldn't be a secondary market. I could be wrong.

Confirmed. You are wrong. They just become non-roster guns that are like all other non-roster guns. PPT and possibly more exceptions would still work.

All you have stated is that Glocks are good, reliable firearms. I agree wholeheartedly. Now make the case (convincing me and me alone) that any Glock not firing a 10mm projectile out of a 6 inch barrel is worth $700.
The only reason (in my opinion) that the Glock 40 is worth it is because of its uniqueness at that price. Any other long slide 10mm (all hammer fired) will cost you no less than 3x as much.

The law only applies to handguns that accept an aftermarket rear plate which allows the gun to run full auto.
Unless aftermarket rear plates which turn the gun into machine guns come out for other makes, then those makes would fall under the law as well.
I don't think any of the non-glock designs use a connector like a glock does that allows a simple switch to be made which defeats the connector.

I've owned a CZ 75 BD 9mm for a very long time, and, have also fired many Glocks. Never fired one I liked. Not one. I like the Hammer. In my opinion, CZ's are the best hand gun in the world. Never have been a fan of Glocks and never will be.
