Pics Smith & Wesson Photo Thread

Went antiquing recently. Had this shipped directly to the house. Made early 1890’s or so.

S&W 32 Safety Hammerless. AKA ‘The Lemon-squeezer’ AKA ‘The New Departure’.

This is an early example. Has the early style latch. All numbers match, including the grip panels. Super-tight lockup. Don’t think it was used much. I *think* I’ve got some .32 S&W ammo for it too.

Model 25-2. .45 ACP Made ~ 1971 so C&R. N-frame so it's big and heavy. Has that awesome S&W deep blue. I'm not sure it was used much before I got it.

(Fun fact: Model 25's with odd dash-numbers are 45 Colt, even dash-numbers are .45 ACP).

This one came with the S&W factory clamp-on compensator (front sight has been modified to accept it). The comp looks uninstalled and unused.

This is an absolute tack-driver.

And finally (haha!!) a Model 52-2. .38 Special 'mid-range', meaning HBWC only.

This is on the CA Olympic Pistol Exemption List, so roster-exempt.

The action on these is amazing. Smooth with a fantastic trigger. Another tack-driver. Magazines are a wee-bit expensive though, haha!!

I'll start off with this hand cannon.

S&W Model 629-1 .44 Magnum (pre-lock). This was my later father's gun. As far as I can tell it was manufactured between 1982 and 1986. It is and is not fun to shoot. :D

Hey man, I imagine you don’t shoot the revolver all the time and it’s more for nostalgia but if you can find some affordable cowboy action 44 mag ammo loaded down to like 800 -900 fps they’re quite nice to shoot. My kids first post .22 mastering shooting was a Winchester 92 lever gun with that type of ammo and it was super enjoyable for both of them and sounded like a pop gun.

Are those stocks by John Culina?
Yes sir, I've been scoring stocks from John since the early days on the Smith & Wesson Collectors Forum. Great people to deal with. I'm shooting 180 gr handloads at 1100 fps so, no need for rubber grips.
