Why are people putting it out there that it’s “legal” to convert and transfer a gun that was either sse or single shot on roster guns into a semi auto and saying it will be dros as semi? Cmon guys let’s not be dummies nor spreading the wrong info. If you want a semi buy a semi. If you don’t worry about the risk run it semi and sell the parts separate if you are selling. Don’t risk your self on leaving that paper trail.
JUST A RANT!! Feel free to chime in
(All you legal to dros as semi Guys )
Or I’d like to hear from any ffl that is pushing this.
If that was the case then how come shops building sse don’t just sell them as semi?? Lmao
All I’m saying is don’t leave a paper trail for converting. Be smart and stay dangerous
Isn’t it amazing? The sheer fact that after 50 years 1 party rule, the enforcement division of the 4th reich running California “tolerates” citizens partaking if freedom and liberty… but only if they are really quiet about it.
To your other points, these are add on charges. As you said, the statutes are as clear a lying dog faced pony solder. But here’s the thing, even if you end up winning, you still loose. The state has endless supply of money for court costs. Before he was even inaugurated, this state scraped up and made the announcement that they had $40M just to fight him in court… for what? Anything he does. I don’t have $4B in the bank and several attorneys on staff. So while all this gets adjudicated, us plebs get to sit in jail, not the state and we have to shoulder the $10’s of thousands in legal fees. Don’t believe me? Ask Mat Corwin, while you are at it, thank him for what he went through in his fight for liberty.
At this point, prosecution for SSE conversion is probably an “add on” charge. I’m no legal expert but I would guess that is bad for us. I would think we would want our first test case to be squeaky clean… at least that’s what I have heard but again, I’m not a legal strategist..
Given a favorable court outcome, the state could decide to start actively prosecuting SSE conversion violators. Think I’m wrong? Take a look at the history of our CCW laws. They were original marketed to disarm black panthers protesting in Sacramento specifically. They were never intended to be used against white people, only to disarm black people. Yet here we are.
I don’t think it’s going to get any better any time soon. Look at the actual implications of Prop 50. We have all but ensured the survive of California’s 1,000 year reich.
I decline to state whether or not I’m doing a SSE… mostly because I haven’t decided yet. I’m still chewing on it.
I'm officially tired of it. Stop crashing out here. Take your spiraling and please offload it elsewhere.Perception of a “loophole” or “workaround” is what a criminal does to get away with something.
Perception of “compliant” is what a responsible citizen does to be sure they are fallowing the law.
I’m not sure if you do not have the capacity to understand the differences in public perception but you are going to have to just trust me on this. We want public perception to be that we are fallowing the law.
When a president you don’t like reduced his taxes he used a “tax loophole” but when a president you do like did the same thing he “complied with the tax code”. How could you have missed this?
I just realized, you just argue about anything. Bye.
going to a shop that build sse buy one take your upper and ask them to pass as semi let’s see how it goesI'm officially tired of it. Stop crashing out here. Take your spiraling and please offload it elsewhere.
If nothing else, this has been a very entertaining thread. I wonder if the statute of limitations starts once you DROS a SSE as a semi automatic. Assuming you did everything properly, you disclosed that you converted the pistol from SSE to semi automatic to the CADOJ. I think they're going to have a hard time saying they were not aware. At least you're self-aware enough to acknowledge you only have one brain cell.
Sure. Volunteer for a test case.I'm having trouble finding a single prosecution for violation of PC 32000a for converting an SSE to semi. Can you point me in the right direction?
What does this even mean? Is your argument that nobody in California has converted an SSE to semi, so I would have to do it in order to give the CADOJ the chance to prosecute someone?Sure. Volunteer for a test case.
You didn't answer the question. Are you saying that nobody in California has converted an SSE and then sold it as semi-auto?We need brave Californians. Otherwise the tyranny continues...
*you're, *paidNot saying that I’m saying doing so leaves a paper trail during transfer for prosecution being the have bans or regulations against that and have stated or made clear it would be a misdemeanor.
Just cause you can doesn’t mean it’s legal
I wish I was paid for stating facts I’d be rich because their a lot of dumb people*you're, *paid

Or, just buy the newly-added Bodyguard 2.0.
Try
going to a shop that build sse buy one take your upper and ask them to pass as semi let’s see how it goes
Wait doesn’t this read to say that it’s illegal to sell an off roster gun you lawfully own? Or did you leave out the exception for PPTs?PEN § 32000

Want to try again?
That's correct. But this thread is about guns that are born SSE and then converted to semi, not ones that went semi to SSE to semi.Just looked this up....Not judging either way but,
- Must Be “Born” Single-Shot: The exemption explicitly excludes semiautomatic pistols that have been temporarily or permanently modified to function as single-shot pistols. This means the firearm must be originally manufactured as a single-shot pistol with a break-top or bolt-action mechanism. For example, a semiautomatic Glock or Springfield XD converted to single-shot mode (e.g., by using a magazine block or extended barrel) does not qualify for the exemption. This provision, introduced by AB 1964, closed a loophole where dealers would modify semiautomatic pistols to meet the exemption and later convert them back to semiautomatic after sale.
