Those are plated bullets.
Those bullets should not be loaded over about 1500fps.
1500fps 7.62x39 loads won't cycle most semi-auto firearms.

Is fort scott ammo plated? I had no issues with their 762x39 but I only have one rifle platform in that caliber to use.

You are right, my mistake I didn't read through the posting well enough. If those are Berrys they supposedly will go 2k but they don't even specify what the max velocity is. Use fmj or other jacketed bullets for 762x39! even better reason to just shoot 556....

Supposedly you can load 762x39 with plated bullets rated for 2k if you use the right powders made for subsonic loads.

Those bullets in that link are also 308 30 carbine bullets (okay price for those bullets if you load 30carbine, xtremes is 1 cent cheaper new).

you need .311 for x39. Ive used a ton of berrys 123 plated bullets and i have used them to 2300fps just like Gavin. They are great and economical at ~$0.16 per bullet before shipping direct from Berry's. I bought a ton of them from midsouth during a sale for $0.12 last year and truckload of blems for $0.10. My current cost is 25 cpr with old stockpile primers. Once those run out, it jumps to 30 cpr with primers i got last year. avg cheap price i see on ammoseek is $0.53 before shipping/FFL so decent savings.

The extra heavy plated berrys are good to 2000 but these do not say they are extra heavy plating so they may be standard plating which goes to 1500fps.
Even still, they are 0.003" undersized so they may not seal the barrel and even if you load them to 2000fps, they are less than likely to properly cycle a 7.62x39 semi-auto firearm.

If they are heavy plated, they would make great 30 carbine bullets.

I would stick with proper jacketed bullets and proper powders and pressures and velocities rather than down-loading and trying to get sub-par ammo to function a blasting rifle.

I just ordered 4000 more 55gr M193 cosmetic blem bullets for under $200 landed to load blasting ammo using 28lbs of powder and 9000 primers I was given by a customer who stopped loading 223.
Free 223/5.56 brass picked up off the ground makes these next 4000 rounds 5 cents per round for me.
