Time to ban Dangerous Glocks

hah GIF
Yep nothing quite as gay as a 1911

While all the options NYPD has for duty pistols are unlikely to have uncommanded discharges, we must be wary of jumping to conclusions and potentially misleading less versed members without having all the details and facts.

Personally I'd like to know what pistol was involved, what kind of holster, and what led up to the discharge.
Somewhere it said it was possible that a piece of stale doughnut got caught between the trigger guard and the retention latch.

This is the most likely answer.

lol.

In the 2010s, decided I wanted to simplify my life so I sold other brands I owned and settled on just Sig and Glock. Been happy ever since. Lately I’ve been thinking adding a 1911 back into my collection would be nice. It will be an Sig 1911. I get why folks are annoyed with Sig: high cost of the magazines, higher price point for their firearms in general, and the P320 may or may not have an issue.

It’s all personal preference. I have no hate towards any manufacturer nor die hard fan of one. M9 was very first gun I ever shot, and it was fun. Years later when I was going to get my own first gun I took basic safety class with my teenage boys, we shot XD and G17. It wasn’t same as m9 I remembered , so I bought SP-01. Now I have couple of CZs, two staccatos HD, RCD as “proper 2011”, sig P365, SW bodyguard, two berettas and echelon. A lot of mags, that’s for sure :)

I agree regarding personal preference. Little differences feel huge to your hands.
