Walther PDP trigger upgrade

Yes the stock trigger is great. I guess the DPT might be a small improvement but I think of this pistol as a duty pistol and I'd like it to be as reliable as possible. I was wrong about the MDM affecting the trigger. The cam was only rotating when the magazine was inserted.
 
I dont have a mag disconnect on this gun. But at the same time I don't really mind it. Neither that nor the lci is a detractor for me. I understand the pros and cons, but for me the pros outweigh the cons. Can you tell me why you dont want the MD on your gun? Just curious

I thought it was affecting the trigger pull so I pulled it out. I still might install a DPT and the MDM would be in the way if I do. I guess I could have lived with it because I could still dry fire by racking it partially.

I know I griped hard about the situation...and it sucks hard they bailed on California customers....but lo and behold, I shot the gun with the new D spring and the gun its performing solidly.

I had my G19, PDP 4.5, and HD 3.6 at the range the other day for extended shooting sesh. I was wanting to confirm that these three in my stable were what I wanted to put on my CCW renewal coming up. The G19 is the main gun, so that is checked off. Shooting the PDP and 3.6 side by side, the PDP was easier shooting and I was clearly more accurate with it at distance when drawing. Duh, of course, bigger gun, nice big grip, Cadillac comfort shoots better than the small gun. Shooting faster, like pairs and fast strings, the PDP was behaving well and inviting me to speed up the pace. Again, yes, bigger gun. Conclusion, I was skeptical of adding my full size PDP to my CCW, but it came through with flying colors. Drawing from the holster and getting shots out to 25 was good to go. Did the recoil spring help..sure, but wasn't a deal breaker.

If I decide on getting the compact PDP, maybe I'll keep the v spec. But last thing I need is a new gun lol. Maybe I can sell it here to someone who will want it.

I don’t consider the DPT a small improvement. My opinion, but it’s very close to having a single action for a factory striker trigger.

I received my PDP Compact slide back from getting ported today. This guy still services California directly from out of state. I sent it in a small USPS Priority box and he sent it back in the same box directly to my house. I'm not going to mention the company here but if you want to know you can send me a message. 150 bones. BTW RifleGear in Fountain Valley sells the Dynamic Performance trigger when they're in stock.

You were right Ron. The DPT is a major improvement. Better than any aftermarket Glock trigger (I have the Timney Alpha with Johnny Glock Vex trigger shoe).
