What’s the quickest in-and-out DROS experience you’ve had at a store?

About 10 minutes, but it was for a ppt of a stripped lower done through an in home FFL. Quickest in a store was about 15 minutes.

Last pickup from UG Imports was under 10 minutes. Always by appointment, and always fast. I've gotten used to filling out the automated form.

Guns LA in Burbank typically under 15 minutes.

The last guy I was buying gun from was genuinely shocked and said that he will travel from now on to them to do PPT. And he had like 40 minutes drive one way

Bay area here - recently did a walk in PPT at Manzano Munitions, was pretty much in & out in 15-20 minutes. My usual go to FFL is Friendly and that's always 15 minutes or less.

I have purchased at Turners in Salinas and they are surprisingly pretty quick. Been there 9 or 10 numbers out, the wait was only like 40 minutes and they did the paperwork in maybe 20-25 minutes. That same number at Bass Pro is like a 4 hour wait + paperwork time.

My wife always knows when I buy a new firearm because I’m usually gone missing for hours doing DROS at Turner’s or Bass Pro. Going to 2A Zone with an appointment is somewhat better, but there’s still usually a line.

Today, though, I went to a LGS to buy a Springfield Echelon Gear Up bundle and was out in 13 minutes (no prefilled 4473, started from scratch), including the minute I wasted trying to find the fourth mag in the bag.

What’s the quickest DROS you guys have ever had?

10 mins with guns Direct in Burbank, CA. Longest, a few hours with Turner's in Pasadena. They were lost.

My go to local spot has me in and out in less then 5 mins. Have done dozens of transfers there.

Trick is to be gone for hours at a time once a week even when your not buying a gun. Build the pattern.....jka. 10 minutes.

Believe it or not, Turner's in Fresno. I was the buyer. Both trips were when the store opened on a weekday. 1st in line and it was quick. My only 2 times in a Turner's. I see nothing but complaints, but my experience was excellent.

Walk in and no customers. Super fast.

Before Covid it was never so busy at most gun stores.

15/20 minutes at Moreau Works in San Marcos. I was worried my first PPT would be a show... had all my paperwork in order, scanned the QR code to fill out my 4473 on my phone, signed, thumb printed, and out the door. Seller set the appointment due right when they opened at 10AM.

Recently DROSed at Barnwood Arms in Ripon. Took about 10 minutes tops to complete the PPT transfer.
