Paramount is threating to leave Kalifornia. That means 58k jobs loss, and 21.2 billion economic loss to Kalifornia.
How many companies have left Kalifornia, since Newsom and his goons been in office?

  1. Charles Schwab
  2. Oracle
  3. CBRE
  4. Hewlett Packard Enterprise
  5. Incora
  6. AECOM
  7. Tesla
  8. Space X
  9. X (formerly Twitter)
  10. F45
  11. Digital Realty
  12. NinjaOne
  13. Green Dot
  14. McAfee
  15. Chevron
  16. Resources Connection
  17. Simplilearn
  18. Realtor.com
  19. John Paul Mitchell Systems
  20. Public Storage

Also, I had no idea that Playboy left california in 2025 for miami florida.

This rhetoric comes up all the time yet California's revenue outpaces most of the rest of the country and just saw it now supplant Japan to be the 4th largest economy in the world.

90% of the time when a company "leaves" California, they're just changing the location its registered in but maintaining the offices and most of the staff. This is pretty apparent with Space X/Tesla since they've only shut down one office in CA when they opened another ... in CA.

Of course we will "survive" but our tax base is drying up... should the AI bubble pop, we will have significantly less revenue and that means worse roads and things like that... I laugh when people keep saying we are great, sure but look around- we are becoming a 3rd world and we are still in a AI bubble.

Paramount-Warner should clarify their position in a couple of days last I heard.

Add McKesson to that list. They handle 1/3 of the distribution of medical supplies in the U.S.

Laprino foods moved Mozzarella manufacturing to Texas. something like 1 million gallons of milk a day.
Budwiser left Fairfield
McKesson left San Franciso

It is like..... People never learn....

That is said I would not point this anly to Dems. It is not like current leadership of Republicans pro free market. As far as economics goes they are more like Dems in pre Clinton era.

For those of you who parrot Newsom’s 4th largest economy horse💩 ask yourself, why is our entire infrastructure broken, homelessness, crime, wildfires, 20 year unbuilt train, housing crisis, illegal immigration problem, school teacher and money shortages, etc, etc. all the while we have the highest taxes and cost of living?

If we’re doing better than countries in one state, then why do we not see it first hand.

I always say, the only reason people put up with California’s BS is because of the weather. Otherwise we would already be another Detroit, Chicago, etc.
CA arguably has some of, if not the best weather of any state in the US.

If I wasn't so obligated to my own business I would move back to Texas. (At least I got use to the humidity)

Here’s an interesting recent op-ed piece, if it’s not hidden behind a paywall: https://www.wsj.com/opinion/socialism-and-the-dumbest-generation-687024bf

I guess they don’t call it “The Dumbest Generation” for nothing.

If you’re on a free account here and commenting about socialism, handouts, while complaining about freeloaders

Don’t be like bad Democrats

Just so you guys know, if you didn’t. This site is operated in Texas. I’ll always maintain a presence but I tend to agree. We’re taxed into oblivion.

The site itself has it own CA LLC, but offloads operations to a different entity.

Republicans when they were in charge didn’t do any better. Look at gas prices now, they moved out of CA. That 💩 ain’t lowering prices

One thing I hope you guys realize, they might move things around but they still maintain operations in CA. They might move to some other locations but that leaves properties up for grabs and they still want to be in CA, just don’t want an economic center.

The AI companies CapEx are supporting the entire economy. They’re buying and building facilities everywhere. The main thing that hurts are all these stupid little tax penalties.
