What should be my first revolver?

So far torn between these Revolvers.

.22s, black powder and air guns definitely don't count when your wife asks how many guns you have now. It's ALWAYS, "Well honey, about X many, and a few .22s, black powder guns and pellet guns", even when some of those .22s and pellet guns are $3K+.
You understand the game.

Not familiar with Kodiak but I shall definitely look into it

Thank you for your feedback 🙏
From my understanding the Kodiak is a rerelease of a limited compensated version of a .44 Anaconda with an unfluted cylinder. Nothing too special outside the "standard" Anaconda.

I will forever keep this pistol after hearing the laughter from my dad once hearing neighboring shooters relocating to distant lanes and adjacent car alarms going off after shooting my 44. The unfluted cylinders should prove to be a perfect canvas for future laser engravings.

You’re not wrong but 22s also don’t count so just pick one up along with the 357.

"don't count" them's fighting words MR.

I have to rationalize these purchases somehow😂

Ok, well when you put it that way, it's a different story..

There needs to be a "touche" emoji

I’ve always wanted a GP100 but always pushed it back but now they’ll be discontinuing them in the future so that’s what I would get

How do the new Colt Pythons compare to the old stuff? Vs a 586?
I don’t have much experience with vintage Pythons, but I’ve heard the 2020 Pythons’ SA trigger isn’t as good as the old ones. On the flip side, I’ve also heard the new ones have less trigger stacking in DA than the old ones, which some people prefer.

YMMV because in the great S&W versus Colt debate, Smith fans tend to diss Colts for too much stacking in DA. Colt fans seem to like the characteristic stacking and say it is a feature, not a bug, of the trigger design.

FWIW, I prefer the DA trigger on my bone stock early 1960s Model 15 than modern Colt (or S&W) revolver I’ve ever handled. But, I’ve handled 2020 Pythons MANY times and thought both their DA and SA trigger pulls were EXCELLENT.

Wouldn’t let me vote for TRP operator, full rail. Will speak with admins and report the issue.
Ugh thats one I wanted as well

I settled for a Stainless Steel Loaded 1911 and now I want a TRP.

I wonder if I would feel the same if I get a GP100 and regret not getting the Super GP100?

Being a tank, the GP100 also eats up a lot of recoil. .38 Special through it is nothing. 180 gr Buffalo Bore .357 is spicy but manageable. 128-158 gr .357 not a problem. It is a heavy gun though, so consider that if weight is a factor. My 4" six shot weighs 3 pounds fully loaded. It is also the handgun that got me to double up on my ear protection. 😂

It's just so ugly... I can't get past the weird hunchback it has going on.
Yeah, the GP100 is definitely not a pretty gun, if aesthetics matter (which they do to me).

Some may say that’s stupid, but samurai cared about the aesthetics of their blades.

And, what is a big iron on the hip if not the American equivalent of a katana?

Vibes and LARP is 90% of it

We’re talking revolvers, which strictly speaking, haven’t been practical fighting handguns in since the Newhall incident. Of course it’s vibes based. And that’s fine. Not everything firearms related needs to be about surviving a self-defense scenario.
If you need more firepower I'm sure your clients can hook it up all day

If it’s new, stay away from S&W unless you got the time to go through every inventory to find the one that isn’t dog 💩. You’ll probably go through 5 guns before you find one that doesn’t have bent barrel, bad cylinder gap, loose crane etc etc. They currently make better pistols than they do revolvers, so if it’s new I suggest GP100. But just a find a used one let it be your mule to familiarize yourself with the platform before you dish the big bucks for the nice pertty ones. But I second getting a .22LR model there very fun to shoot no worry about cycling issues just bang bang bang!
