Yeah ok John Wick lol - until you go up against three hood dudes with a 33 round extended mags lol. But hey let yourself be outgunned

Loading up with minimum 100 rounds in case there's three hood dudes each with 33 rounders. Now I've got them outgunned!

That's a ridiculous example for someone who likes to argue specific details as much as you do! :ROFLMAO:

I might just settle for a ruger for now.

Whats the difference between the 2?
You won't be settling!

GP100's are fantastic with any load. SP101's can be a bit snappy with +P magnums, or a full day at the range, less so with the 3" barrel than the shorter one, but it's still a mid-weight gun (comparable to the S&W J-frame 60-15)

I can shoot my GP100 all day long.

But I can't easily conceal it like an SP101.

Both are great guns, and are VERY easy to shim and do trigger jobs on. There used to be guides online but they're hard to find these days as forums and free-hosting sites have been purged over the years, I have them squirreled away if you ever want them I can send over via email

The round capacity versus ballistic capability argument has been going, probably, since the first practical autoloader went into production. No one is going to change anyone’s mind.

If history is anything to go by, the second they invent a triple stack mag, people will say a 21-round double stack isn’t enough.

Personally, I wonder if there’s a subconscious understanding that, no matter how far 9mm is advanced, it started life as an underpowered round for effete Europeans 🤪

You should consider the Smith & Wesson Performance Center Model 627.
8 shot 357 mag.
You get none of the mag out of a snub, they are flash bangs, so way more money, more recoil, worse performance. Also they suck to shoot so you’re not practicing with them.

Dirty Dirty Austrian round. 😂

Yup, old rounds need barrel length to get the velocity. Snubs are just really awful.
I think the current conventional wisdom for 38 special is that a lighter bullet with +p rating is required to get better ballistic performance out of snubbies, but is never going to perform as well from a 4-inch or longer barrel. I imagine the same would be true for 357 Magnum, or 9x19 for that matter?

I say that because that happened to me a few months ago and yeah having multiple attackers or targets is very plausible especially like a gas station incident. 5 rounds doesn't go far and acting like you never miss under stress is comedy

9x19 at least seems to have some more modern rounds that have weights/powders tuned for short barrels.

But, I would chrono them to be sure if you’re going to carry a little gun. A lot of hollow points do really weird 💩 if you push them to fast or let them go to slow.
