What's your occupation? Question during DROS

their application gets kicked to manual review. Unless everybody does it, then that’s the norm.

Right on. Imagine the poor guy sitting in his cube doing the manual reviews of applications with silly answers. He thinks to himself, "This guy is just being a ďīçķ. I'll put his application right here at the bottom of the stack. If he's feeling really disgruntled that day, he'll reject your paperwork as being fraudulent. Then what? Coincidentally, my FFL renewal application is sitting right here in front of me. I think I'll just fill it all out accurately and send in my money.

No hysteria from me, I've just been doing PPT's for over 30 years and have never been asked that before.

I didn't know if it was just me or everyone else too and also why they would even require that info for a purchase.

Matt
Basically it has been a law on the books for decades and CADOJ randomly put it back into the computer system. Don't know why

The manual review guy gets petty back to the initial answer and 1. delayed or 2. undertermined or some other random act of pettiness.

Person who wrote it in says, government is slow and wonders why they would get undetermined and then gets more angry at the State.

It's a vicious cycle. I can already see it.

It's like the old idiom, play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

I hope not because entering false info on the DROS is actually a misdemeanor
The lady at omma asked me and I told her that, she laughed then asked me what i really did and i told her.
I never saw what she put down but i was dealing with the BOE earlier that day so it was the first thing that came to mind.

You should have put Sherlock Holmes apprentice!

Hello,

I just did a couple PPT's and was asked both times what my occupation was. (never heard that one before)

What business is it of the DOJ to ask what I do for a living and why is it a requirement to do a PPT?

Matt
I'm a male PSD (Professional Striptease Dancer) but If the price is right well everyone is welcome but NO TOUCHING 🤣.
