And this is just the beginning. Right now the ban is already in effect but it doesn’t truly become official until July 1st.

I’ve been mostly stuck with Gen 3s, and judging by the Gen 6 specs, I’m genuinely excited with the straight-from-the-factory enhancements.

For a Gen 6 you will pay between 1400-1800 according to classifieds on this forum.

It’s been reported Glock has something new coming to CA this summer, likely a roster compliant Gen 6. Anyone wanting skip the LCI, mag disco or the wait will have to pay the off roster premium.

As I said. Give it time. They will. Probably by the end of the year once the panic truly sets in.

idk if you're late or what but the peak of the panic occurred before 2025 even ended due to brand new stock drying up at LGS's, and the soft ban was imminent on 1/1/26. That was when BNIB gen 3's sold for close to $1000 on classifieds. The current market price is the market at equilibrium as it has already priced in the hard ban. This is because Glocks have been de facto hard banned since 1/1/26, which was when LGS' could no longer inventory new stock from their distributors and their stocks were already dry. The 7/1/26 date is just a sell through date. But I can assure you that most if not all stock of on roster Glocks was sold through before the end of last year.

Thats a terrible idea. Don't over complicate it. No one wants a CA compliant gen V. Glock will probably discontinue the gen V anyway. A CA-compliant version of the Gen 6 is obviously the better idea. It's not even necessary since the gen 6 incorporates the same internal changes to the slide that the gen V has to make it incompatible with switches.

It only took less than 24 hours to make switches for the Gen V lol. !!!
