No because in real life use the P320 has not had any real issues post-2017, it's highly regarded in the military and works great. Glock just had 15k of their pistols recalled by Australian police for being defective... and there have been way more "Glock leg" incidents than verified problems with the P320.
Not necessarily. P320s are still getting new contracts with various LEO agencies. Then you've also got agencies switching to other platforms like the M&P, Shadow Systems, Stacatto, and FN 509s. Where as Glock used to dominate every LEO agency, it's now becoming much more diverse. And despite the controversy with the 320, there's still 5+ million of them out there, and being the military adopted sidearm means a lot of agencies are still going to adopt it.

That is correct. I wouldn't argue that an issue does not/has not existed, but the fact that there have been at most 100-200 "reports" of incidents, with over 5 million guns in the wild, that's really not out of the norm. For some reason the Sig has gotten insane media attention, but Glock and M&P 1.0 both had issues with around the same number of reports, it just didn't get covered nearly as much. Personally I don't carry my 320, it just makes no sense to me when the 365 macro has the same capacity, is just as shootable, all at a lighter, smaller, thinner gun. That being said, I wouldn't feel unsafe carrying a 320 if I had to.
Lol, a lot of good that'll do you. I had a $550 gift card for Christensen, and just my luck, they stopped shipping EVERYTHING to California. Can't even order a stinking t shirt. If anything, Glock would just send someone to silence you. Wouldn't be the first time an Austrian started a war...If I go silent that means Glock got me with at least a $10,000 gift card.

I'd argue Glock had way more incidents and lawsuits, but a lot of it was pre internet or 90's 00's so people don't know anymore.

Keep us updated. Im curious what comes around. That way i can keep an eye on the market price of my new gen 6 g45. Was debating keeping it unfired or not. But im gunna shoot the hell out of my g47 tho. Picking up tomorrow. I made it to the gen 6 club near the jump! Achievement in CaliI've sent a follow-up email, checked my spam, trash, All Mail, archive, and everywhere else I can think of just to make sure.
Technically, they don't have to produce any records this go around. They can just say they FOUND responsive records. Still, this is some foot dragging. I've seen them answer late in the day like this for other records I've requested.
It takes a bit of engineering to add a mag disconnect to a gun that was never designed to have one. Take 1911s for example, kimber had to modify the frame and mag release on the ones they added to the roster. Not only expensive to do because now you have to produce CA specific frames, but also people now don't like the guns as much because they aren't compatible with standard parts. Glock would have to figure out an easily removable solution that doesn't make it incompatible with other Glock parts.
I agree, but it wouldn’t be super hard nor impossible, all they would have to do is go the same route Springfield went with the hellcat series, and shadow systems and other companies. Just don’t follow Walther’s mag disconnect path. Since serious farm modification would be needed. I do know also once they make the frames they need a special assembly line just for the ca models.
All that makes sense at a small scale but honestly doubt any major production would move like that. If anything most likely itll be part of the trigger that can he replaced. Or selected frame will go through an extra production step (ie addition whole drilled, disconnect installed) and i have a feeling they are going to double down on the ejector being the lci. Just color it and write “loaded when up” then its as simple as putting a slide on a frame.
Probably in the whole trigger will be easy. They gave to redesign the bar and make it less “convertible” so it would be a good time for them to design a whole new trigger with disconnect. Then turn right around and sell a new trigger that replaces it. But thats also a 1911 a design that is 100 years old and made fully of metal. No molds or anything. So it understandable for a 1911 but for a polymer gun i think their options have to be less limited.
