Create a listing

  1. Sign in and open Classifieds.
  2. Use the listing creation action and choose the category that matches your item.
  3. Enter a clear title, an accurate description and the price information required by the form.
  4. Upload original photographs of the actual item. Stock photographs do not satisfy the listing photo requirement.
  5. Read the current rules and notices in the listing form, review your details, and submit.
For additional background, see the staff guide Create a listing: best practices. Current form notices and account permissions should guide you when older examples differ.

Manage the listing itself

Open your Classifieds listing to use the management actions available to your account. A linked forum discussion is a separate place for comments. Editing that discussion is not the same as editing the listing.

When an item sells, use the appropriate listing status action. Do not erase the title, description or price after a sale. Preserving the record helps buyers and sellers understand the transaction history.

Bumping

Use the listing's Bump action when it is available. Posting “bump” or “TTT” in a discussion does not move the listing to the top of Classifieds. Availability and timing depend on your current account permissions; older forum posts may quote previous intervals.

Contact and feedback

Use Conversations to arrange details privately. After a completed transaction, use the feedback actions associated with the member and listing. Feedback should describe a transaction you participated in; a feedback score is one piece of information, not a guarantee.

Request feedback through your Conversation

After completing a transaction, open your one-to-one Conversation with the other member. When the Request feedback button is available:
  1. Choose Request feedback in the Conversation's feedback box.
  2. Select your role: I was the buyer, I was the seller, or We traded.
  3. Paste the link to the CAguns listing for this transaction. It must belong to you or the other member.
  4. Choose Insert feedback link. Review the link in your reply draft, then send the reply when you are ready.
Creating the link does not send a message or post feedback by itself. The other member follows the link to leave feedback for you. It is intended for that member; do not publish it in a public discussion. If the button is missing, check that you are in a one-to-one Conversation you can reply to. If the listing or role is rejected, use the correct transaction details rather than another member's listing.

The existing staff walkthroughs explain leaving feedback for a seller and leaving feedback for a buyer. If the form does not offer the correct member, listing or transaction type, ask staff rather than submitting feedback under the wrong transaction.

Common questions

Why is the listing button missing?
Check your sign-in state, account notices and current listing allowance. An access restriction and an active listing limit are different issues. Follow the notice shown to your account; do not assume an upgrade removes a restriction.

How many listings or pictures can I use?
Allowances vary with current account permissions. Review account upgrades and the listing form for current information rather than relying on numbers in older discussions.

Do I create a wanted listing in a forum?
Start in Classifieds and use the appropriate listing category and type offered by the form.

Can I remove the price after the item sells?
No. Preserve the title, description and price and update the listing status instead.
