I'm seeing or (hallucinating) a rather interesting rivalry forming between the 2K11 and P211, largely due to the roster/manufacturing race.

I'm thinking of building a little competition site for CA rostered, mid-market 2011's. Something where folks can log their scores and compare, just for fun. The individual guns don’t have to be rostered but at least one variation of the model does.

I also really want to see more folks blowing up open minor with factory comps.

So maybe all the variations of the P211 vs. all the 2K11 versions.

Yeah. FWIW the site wouldn't be limited by division. I actually want to set that comparison up explicitly.

Both pistols/companies offer comped versions (with the P211 being a slide/upper swap) so maybe a way to encourage folks to run them in competition, rather than being worried about points.

This is why I'm chomping at the bit for the 2k11. Not that I couldn't shoot my G34 or other pews in LO, but I've put nearly 4k rounds on the 2011 platform and another nearly 1k rounds on 1911 platforms since I started shooting USPSA, so I don't really want to switch platform right now. I'll save the Glocks for when I want to shoot CO/Limited/Production. 2011's for LO/Open Minor/Open Major. 1911 for SS/L10 Major. If they ever allow Optics in Revolver I'll bring out the R8, but man almost every local match is all geared towards higher capacity.

That's the irony, I can't even see the LCIs when I'm shooting so it doesn't bother me. it's so ineffective I don't even think about it

Now that I think about it I don't think I have ever actually noticed or use the LCI. It is actually a stupid crutch and not a replacement for actually checking the chamber.

That NROI ruling about compensators is because I asked Troy a few questions and he was clearly wrong. What did he do? Rather than saying "Yeah, you're correct that makes sense based on the current rules" He instead said "No, that belongs in Open" when referring to a Guide Rod mounted compensator, then went and changed the rules because he was wrong. Rather than carving out something potentially new and exciting for dying divisions like L10, they simply doubled down.

We could definitely go on about this for hours and hours, but they simply do not want to listen.

They need those divisions so they can stay in the top ten. It's the ultimate gamer move, just remove all the competition and you automatically win. I almost get sad looking at the pcsl divisions. It could just make sense.
