Bad news for the P211 for CA

Yes I saw it, I'm just saying as they wont be sold new they can still be PPT'd probably just fine. How do many people have atlas Erebus's as they are the same thing?
RE: the Erebus—is it an island comp or is it a threaded or lugged comp? The feature that is problematic on the P211 is the lugged barrel, not the compensator itself. The comp attaches via lugs and a pin.

I believe the Erebus's barrel and comp are one piece. There aren't any threads or lugs so I think that is the difference.

Because the DOJ can come after this site and its owner for facilitating the sale and transfer of assault weapons.
Have you seen calguns and whats on there? This site is not allowing anything unless each post has to be approved. Since each listing goes on automatically the owners aren't allowing anything. I think ultimately alot of these laws are going to go away since they are silly. Not a single criminal cares about any of these

You are preaching to the choir. Currently CA-DOJ's position is that anything that can be misconstrued as a thread, interrupted thread or lug on a barrel that extends past the slide as an AW feature. Especially since a lot of jackasses are marking these up 2-3 fold its a very real situation for financial loss to a non exempt person. Couple that with the usual legal problems.

These specific firearms are AW's(according to our overlords) which means the frame aka the firearm is an AW regardless if you take the slide off of it or not. Unless it came into California as a frame only or "DE-Assault Weaponized" by an appropriate FFL prior to initial sale.

Basicall, the CADOJ is looking at any part of the barrel that extends past the slide that can accept any attachments.

Lugs, threads, or whatever innovation people come up with are going to be no good because the DOJ is gonna say well you could attach a suppressor to it

I'm just glad I never sprung for a Ramjet or a SS Comp. More porting is the way I guess.
Radian Ramjet does not have lugs or threads. It is CA compliant.

Radian is supposed to release a collab suppressor that uses the Ramjet mount. If that happens then its a mount specifically designed to accept a suppressor. All bets would be off at that point.

they would have to change the definition of the barrel and what a thread is before it would be deemed illegal. Its already pretty broad, but doesnt define how to treat that application, besides the Suppressor itself being illegal (for now) in CA.

Its already in the language. If it has the ability to accept a flash hider or suppressor which in this case it would be specifically designed for a specific suppressor.

The barrel FFL transfer is in effect so the real litmus test will be if and when this suppressor is released will FFLs be willing to transfer a ramjet barrel to you knowing it is designed to accept a suppressor.

I understand that this is specifically targeting barrels, but it feels like a slippery slope...barrels aside for a min, using that same language, every gun has the ability to accept a rail mounted suppressor. So do they ban the suppressor, or do they ban every single gun with a rail? Comp's, flash hiders, and suppressors already exist in this rail mount format to be affixed to a handgun.

Id flip this statement to say that there might be a suppressor designed to affix, not that the barrel was designed for that purpose - we don't know this, and given it passed initial CADOJ scrutiny, at least the declared intention was never the case.

FWIW, I would be shocked is the current config could take a suppressor mount. That would be an incredible feat of engineering. There isn't much sticking out and alignment wouldn't be something I would feel any degree of confidence in.

Does your rail extend past your slide?

They ban every pistol that has a "suppressor mount" that extends past your slide.

Compensators are not banned but usual attachment is thread or lugged both of which usually extended past the slide and accept a suppressor. Negated by designs like ramjet. Possibly cross canceled by new suppressor design

Take a look at the latest version of the agency arms noc(over price garbage)
They painstakingly jumped through hoops to ensure their threaded attachment method did not extend past the slide.

They dont want a flash hider on your pistol regardless of attachment method.

FWIW doesnt matter if you are shocked. Its real. And perhaps the only reason it has not been released is because of the legal quagmire it would cause.
