CA legal Glock gen 6 rumor mill

At least if there's a Gen 6 on the roster you'll have a choice. You can buy a CA approved or an out-of-state through PPT. It should also bring the price down even on the out-of-state guns because it will drive down the demand.
True, the CA model will indeed drive the off-roster demand down. Personally, I prefer Glock with no unnecessary parts.

Glock was standing out on the roster. It was the exact same version the free states were getting. If it Gen6,7.8 gets on the roster, it will becomes another CA neutered gun, unfortunately. For all it takes, I prefer the free-state, no BS, design.
Well sure, of course everyone would PREFER the out of state version without the added components, but with proper design and engineering those components won’t affect the reliability of the pistol. Most CLIs are generally negligible and unobtrusive and several manufacturers have made mag disconnects very easy to remove or disable.

True, but too many ifs, right? On the top of that, such a modification can be problematic for a CCW gun in some counties.

Nothing would make me happier than if the roster went away completely. Can't wait to see those salty tears stream down the face of every single price gouger out there selling $500 firearms for two grand
I am sure you would be much happier if all other CA gun control laws faded out overnight.

I don’t get the fuss over LCIs. Mag disconnects suck but like most have said those typically are easy to remove.

Some models have a cutout in the barrel to accommodate CLI. That makes it a bit problematic to replace with the standard spare barrels.

That might potentially create a problem with some of the Sheriff's CCW policy. Nobody wants a problem around their CCW guns.

If Glock shows us some love and makes CA-friendly Gen 6 pistols, I would show some love back and let Glock take my money. 😄

If Glock makes a CA version, I hope they are paying attention to what we are doing here and make the MDM and LCI in a way where the whole frame and slide can be converted to exactly what a free state version is with extra parts.

This is my CA compliant Staccato HD. I put a little Birchwood Casey's aluminum black on the LCI lettering and spent about 10 minutes removing, modifiying, and returning the mag release. It looks and functions as well as a free state HD model.

Oh he11, I might have to start saving up to buy one of these, taxes be damned.

They won't be able to advertise it or brag about it much. If it ever pops up that Glock intentionally designed the CA compliant gun to have the CA safety parts easily removed, the next newsom will be happy to sue them at the taxpayers expense.
