You truly don't understand that it has nothing to do with quantifying the number of firearms transactions that they do. The law is that they cannot buy off roster firearms and resell them for profit without a federal firearms license. It's the reselling for profit and not that you hit a certain number of transactions that counts here. And they went after these leo's because they were doing it egregiously. The doj turned a blind eye to what was happening but it's snowballed out of control and they had to rain it back in.But even selling one firearm for profit that you obtained off roster through whatever means is a crime in and of itself. You don't have to rack up a bunch of them. I always love it when people have to be insulting. Tells you all you need to know about them

They aren't getting in trouble for selling them for profit. They're getting in trouble because of the number they were selling. They could make 10,000% profit on up to 50 guns in no more than 5 PPTs per year and they wouldn't have been arrested.

It's pretty clear that it's breaking the law by selling an off roster firearm for profit. That means you could do it one time and make a $200 profit hypothetically. And you could be charged. Will they go after you for that, no way, but you've broken the law as it's written in the books my man
