FFL's that do PPT's for $47.19

Turners has been doing that for a while. Years ago I bought a couple on sale (separately), and noticed it was a $5 fee at the time. this was new stuff out of their inventory, from their sale flyer. The price was good enough I didn't give them grief, but it was irritating.
Their processing of firearm sales and pickups is so very sloooooow and annoying that I just quit shopping there for firearms, no matter how good the price. Discount has 2 places in the San Diego area, and their prices are better than Turner,s, with way more efficient processing time. Discount does PPTs pretty well.
I actually will buy a lock if they are quick and efficient and it's needed without giving any grief. See Randall's note above regarding the locks.
I actually hate to bother the places for PPTs, but it's a fact of life.

Definitely irritating, especially when you’re paying for the “privilege” of wasting an hour of your life on something that should take 10-15 minutes.

The Turner's in Lake Forest is usually fairly quick. The Bass Pro Shop about 2 miles away is a half day process; most of which is waiting to get to the counter.

GUNS LA super fast PPT and DROS, friendly and charge you 0.01$ for the lock. No fees and always ask if you need anything else and actively trying to build a friendship with you.

Worst IMHO
OnTarget charges a credit card fee and a $7.99 lock fee even if you provide a lock.

Paid $58.66 for PPT

I used Gretas last week.. it’s $47.19 however it was dead in there and took like 50 minutes to finish a PPT

Personally, any gun stores in Burbank can never be considered Best for PPTs. They don't release on Undetermined, which is best to screw out the buyers in a PPT transaction.

If you are forced to buy a lock ask if it can be retuned after the 10days when you pick up. Weird but it’s been offered before.

Some of ffls just stupidly invested themselves into cable locks that they now placed it into policy to get you to buy a lock.

Like AmmoBros invested into AmmoBros branded locks.

That does not say it was for PPT specifically. It could have been for firearm delivery and dros.

If it was for receiving an out of state transfer or online purchase. I can understand the fee.
But if it was for a FTF PPT its ridiculous.

Aeon tac in GG is 47, they do charge CC fee but you can zelle or pay cash and they are fast w/ the Dros on Ipad.

Under California law, gun shops are restricted on how much they can charge for doing a private party transfer. If they do it right it should come out to $47.19. But I've gone into shops that make me buy a lock, charge for credit card use, charge for storage (this hasn't happened to me but to someone else), or some other charge. I know under the REVIEWS tab we have a list of FFL's that we like. But I'm talking just by price, which FFL's do you know of charge $47.19 for a PPT? You can throw in some bad one's to avoid if you'd like.

There's way too many to list. I guess the key question is are you looking for one in a particular area

Firearms Unknown opened the wrapper, locked the gun, and said they don't accept returns on used locks. It wasn't too much of an extra expense but I didn't like the attitude.

In the future, stop at walmart during your waiting period.
They will sell you a lock for $5.24 and provide you a receipt.
Now bring a different lock you already have like that one you kept when they opened it and use that for pickup.
Then go return the walmart lock.

Camarillo Gun store is easy quick and only charges the bare minimum
