Glock abandons CA (no longer shipping parts/accessories)

I recall seeing a video the Glockstore guy made about what will be needed to deliver to CA, so they might be shipping to us.
Read post above yours. All we need to do is find somebody who is willing to jump through the hoops. And that’s gonna cost $$.

Some may remember when a large number of ammo distributors backed out of CA sales due to the extra paperwork and liability.
Yeah that’s what I fear the most, I have a few very obscure guns and theres maybe 1 or 2 small websites that sell parts for them that probably won’t jump through the hoops.

Yes, we can still get what we want through third party- it’s just disappointing to see Glock signal again that they are turning their backs to the CA market, for something even as simple as parts.
Is it surprising? Most of these gun mfgs. are bootlickers.
They don't care about the general public market. Only LE. Bootlickers.

Barrett proved you don't have to be bootlicker mfg.

LOL, if I'm an employer, with people who depend on me for their jobs, I'm not endangering that by F-ing around with California's bull💩. California residents are responsible for California government, this is a California problem. Asking a business from a free state to jeopardize their livelihood just so we don't have to get off our ass and go to the store is a little much.

Unfortunately, CA gun market is considered highest for many online retailers.

Even in private party, I proved on gafs discord that CA market is the biggest, and where a mod posted their delivery stats for this year showed CA being the most.

If we go, so does the nation. Ever heard that phrase? It's true.

When Freedom week happened, USA was out of magazines pretty much, all headed to CA.

What does any of that have to do with anything? Pretty sure folks are perfectly aware they are losing money by not selling to California. It's still not worth risking a lawsuit over. They are business people, not 2A crusaders. Our 💩ty elected officials just aren't their problem.

If they in free state, and their DoJ/AG is about a looser gun restriction, they may challenge CA regarding certain 💩. CA DOJ can go after companies, just as well as lets say TX DOJ to defend and go after CA. In current climate with a Republican in office, it could go more likely to TX DOJ with U.S. DOJ created a 2nd Amendment sub-dept. to defend Gun Rights.

No idea what any of that has to do with the topic at hand. Making less money is preferable to making no money. Simple as. You can get old and die while you keep dreaming about someone riding to your rescue or you can move out of state. Republicans are never going to be a political power in California ever again, wishing real hard isn't going to change that fact.

Death by a thousand cuts. This will do absolutely nothing to curb “gun violence.” A different, more sinister agenda is in play. Stop the madness. Stop voting for the people who are doing this to us.

It's the age and identity thing that's stopped everyone in their tracks, so far. Even Midway's answer may not synch with typical FedEx, UPS "adult signature".

3) For shipment and delivery of a firearm barrel, firearm accessory, or firearm manufacturing machine, the firearm industry member shall do all of the following:
(A) Ensure all packages are conspicuously labeled with the words: “Signature and proof of identification of person aged 18 years or older required for delivery.”
(B) Ensure the shipping instructions list an address that matches the purchaser’s identification.
(C) Require the purchaser, upon delivery, to present a courier with proof of identification and the purchaser’s signature in order to receive the item.

It’s ok guys, just collaborate with the authorities. They have our best interests in mind and just want what’s best for us. Think about the children.

Also, on an unrelated note, cattle cars are surprisingly airy and comfortable.

Here is something else to chew on: If you send a barrel or even a complete slide or upper with a barrel in it out of State for warranty service, repair, modifications or replacement, the entity doing that work cannot legally ship it directly back to you unless you have an FFL. You would need to have it sent to an FFL for pickup, and of course they will probably want to charge a storage fee. In 2027, where will be a background check added to that as well. The only exception is if its a complete firearm, so it has to be attached to a frame or lower.

Of course, there are manufacturers what refuse to let you ship a firearm either directly from yourself to them or directly back to you because you are located in California, but that's another topic.

This is alll part of Newsoms plan to get rid of guns completely. He has some twisted fantasy he calls L.A 2.0 that he is re inventing Los Angeles
No guns, No Gas Vehicles, citizens will taxed out of existence. This Bonta butthole has got to go as well, make sure you vote this little twerp out of office.
If you like your second amendment rights get rid of democrats in CA. Guns are our right!!! Not our privilege.

Effective now. Glock halts shipment of parts/accessories to CA in response to AB 1263.

Anyone have any good alternatives where we can get replacement recoil springs now? With the 20% off warranty code, getting them cheap directly from Glock was my go to.

We get the Fascisim we voted for. But the weather is great! It’s not just glock, It’s all firearms related industries. Guaranteed.

Why on earth would Texas or any other state lift a finger for california who just voted for prop 50? The entire state is the laughing stock of the free world. We just voted for one party rule 65%-45%.

This is what we voted for. Sorry if you didn’t read the fine print. You can’t vote for Orwellian rulers and be surprised when they enact Orwellian laws.

What makes you think I voted for this?

I'm like one of the few that says none of this 💩 applies to me anyways. I'm all about PPTs and Consumer2Consumer trades.

Not that I’m supportive of Gav, but I’m not sure how your description works. It would seem that the non-existence of citizens would eliminate the need to re-invent a city. Also, the elimination of citizens would seem counter-productive as it would eliminate those being taxed.

I will continue to support my California brothers and Sisters with their Glock parts needs after January 1st and have the shipping requirements integrated into my site needed under ab1263. 👍

I wholly agree with your point about out of state vendors rightly deciding to say "screw it" and not ship to Ca after some risk analysis.

But at the same time, let's not kid ourselves, there are not brick and mortar gun stores that stock many spare parts beyond complete magazines and things like that.

Next time you're in your favorite LGS, go ask the guy behind the counter for a Glock 17 gen 3 slide lock spring, or spare Buckmark hammer or magazine spring, and see what the reaction is.
