Anyone notice how the trigger on the VP9 irritates the pad of your trigger finger? Its a common complaint. Not sure what it is about the design but HK hasnt mastered that type of trigger. And its a royal pain to change the trigger on a VP9. The VP9 is a great gun, but the Walther is what I prefer because of the trigger irritation issue.

Anyone looking to drop a grand on the VP9 should rent one first and shoot it for at least 50rds to make sure the trigger doesnt bother you. Or shoot it wearing gloves. No other gun I've tried has this issue, not even a Glock. Its really a shame because the gun is very accurate and ergonomic (except for the painful trigger shoe).

No, not at all. I’ve got a VP 9 VP 9SK and VP9 long slide there’s no issues with that. I guess you have sensitive fingers the trigger on it is perfect and if your finger is sensitive, you can do it trigger swap on it. They have other triggers you know aftermarket go on hkpro.com. They got every part for your VP9 you need

No, not at all. I’ve got a VP 9 VP 9SK and VP9 long slide there’s no issues with that. I guess you have sensitive fingers the trigger on it is perfect and if your finger is sensitive, you can do it trigger swap on it. They have other triggers you know aftermarket go on hkpro.com. They got every part for your VP9 you need

Yeah, I've never had an issue with triggers from Glock, S&W, Walther, etc.... Glocks are not known to be comfortable for people with sensitive hands so it's not my finger that is the issue. The only thing I can think of is that there is a little too much space on either side of the safety lever in the middle of the trigger shoe. I think when I press on it, skin on the pad of my finger gets pinched in the gaps on either side of the trigger safety lever.

As for replacing the trigger, you should check out some YouTube videos about how to do it. It's not as simple as a Glock. Not even remotely. The consensus is it's a royal pain to replace the trigger in the VP9.

Notice in the pics how the VP9 trigger is much wider, less rounded, with bigger gaps on the sides around the trigger safety lever than a Glock. HK fumbled the trigger shoe and safety lever design. The break is great. The factory trigger shoe leaves room for improvement.

It can definitely be removed by replacing the disassembly safety in the CA roster models with an OEM one (see link). The CA version of this part has a small curl at the top that catches the trigger bar when you drop the mag. Just a $10 part, but replacing it means basically having to fully disassemble the gun.

Likewise!...Long slide for me... Plenty of times I have been selling a gun then during the transfer something always seems to catch my eye and then I am the owner of something else by the end of the transfer...

Get the standard VP9 then go on the HK website and buy the complete long slide and you can swap them out now you have two VP9s one for the Ccw and one for the range

buy a Glock or Walther PDP then.. I always say ANY gun has to fit and be comfortable to shoot otherwise it is a paper weight for your safe.. the Walthers are great great trigger break too. The off rosters are starting to come down a bit in price

Not sure what gave you the impression you need to tell me what to buy. I already have those other guns so your advice doesnt make any sense anyway. I'm merely sharing my experience with my VP9 for the information of others. You don't need to respond if this information doesn't apply to you. Others might find it useful.
