That's not the case. All new guns are selling as new with lifetime warranty. Dealers have 180 days to clear inventory, we might see sales from dropped dealers towards the end of the of the term
I don't know if Route66 was dropped or not, but they still have 31 P4s on hands and they are selling pretty slow from what I see

Totally fair, i’m just not at a point where “for a …. it’s good” is something i’m not into. Also Staccato being sue happy and influencer heavy aggressively makes me never want to deal with them or the entire “2011” market at all. Granted the p211 GT4/5 was nice to play with/finger in the store. Sig issues not withstanding.

I like to finger things too.

This is simply incorrect and false. Per staccato themselves. Feel free to reach out and clarify. Staccato care is not their lifetime original owner or CPO warranty.

They are not instantly being considered used by staccato. They have 180 days from the notification before they lose authorized dealer status. Guns sold are still offered lifetime warranty to original owners as it follows the serial number.

With that chance, I'd rather err with the side that it is considered a Used purchase and have no warranty (used means you are not the original owner.), than side with the chance that it will be considered New purchase.

Because they're great guns, two world wars. And most cops rarely have to shoot their guns anyways. Not like they're in extreme conditions where the gun isn't lubed and ready to go.

Also, they're not? False premise to begin with. Which departments issue Staccatos or any 2011? Standard issue to ordinary patrol across an entire agency? Less than 1%?

And yes, Staccato absolutely gives LE pricing incentives. Its current Blue Line program gives active-duty law enforcement $800 off certain Staccato HD models and 20% off other standard Staccato pistols, optic plates and magazines. So discounts are clearly part of how they penetrate the LE market.

Must be the area I'm in where officers are choosing to buy them so it seemed like they were being issued. My bad.

My impression is there are a lot of shooters who jumped onto the 2011 train without researching the platform in the past few years. Under that assumption, the $199 /yr subscription-based warranty plan makes sense if you get a lot of customers who say like “I bought this gun second hand, will your warranty cover it” or “It’s been 10k rounds since I cleaned and lubed it and now the fit and finish aren’t as good anymore”.

I’m still scratching my head at the dealer restructuring. Willing to wait to see how this plays out
