Referred by a friend. NorCal resident. Retired public safety. Gun hoarder. The other California gun website that I used to go on most of the time keep shutting down. I’m hoping this is going to be more reliable.
 
Super late intro but I'm another migrant from Calguns under the same name. Been on that site since 2013 and has always been a great resource for knowledge.

Saw a couple posts from Reddit and joined back in April. Hoping this place becomes my new home for anything CA 2A related.
 
Another calguns guy, known there by Calif. Hunter. I do not hunt as much anymore, mostly because my partners have moved or quit. I live in the Mojave Desert and prowl the Mojave Preserve where I hunt quail and coyotes. I know a good spot for deer there but no longer hunt them. I belong to the Compton Hunting and Fishing Club, where I am a past president. I retired and moved to Apple Valley, where I belong to the Apple Valley Gun Club.
I like lever guns and revolvers, but have some semiautos as well. Several hunting and varmint rifles. I reload for all of them. My latest acquisition is a S&W Mountain Gun .45 Colt.

Hello! San Diego native here, wasn't to active on CalGuns, though did make the occasional response and perused the classifieds. I'm a collector, only "modern" firearm I own would be my Glock 26 for CCW (though I also have a P-64 I carry as well!). I enjoy going out to the South Bay Rod & Gun Club for some pew time.

Youtube-wise I enjoy C&Rsenal and Forgotten Weapons, along with multiple other firearm channels.

Another calguns.net refugee. It's a shame having to start from scratch after building up a decent iTrader rating. Oh well, first place I went looking for a new regional forum was reddit.

I'm a CA native, and I've been around guns most of my life. If you were a CA Marine from 2001 to 2003 and shot on Wilcox or Horno Range, you probably saw me with a pith helmet or heard my voice from the tower.

I'm still doing the same stuff on the Fed gov't side of the house keeping my certs up to date.

I am also almost 20 years Calguns member. When Calguns was down early this year, I joined Reddit Caguns and got the news of the short live ammo freedom week last Feb.. Glad, CA has 2 vibrant 2A forums. Thanks

Glad I found this place. Finally, a modern interface haha!!

Same username here as on CG.

I would love to see the CG name and its data migrated here so it can keep going and grow.

All leadership (and, by extension, leaders) have an expiration date. I don’t know if that’s the case yet with CG, but the past couple of years have been rough.

CG lately makes me think of that line from The Sun Also Rises by Hemingway:

“How did you go bankrupt?”

“Two ways. Gradually, then suddenly.”

Just replace “…you go bankrupt” with “…the site wither away and die?”

Been a Calgunner (same username) and Redditor for years. Loving the setup and UI here!

San Diegan but am up and down the state for work. I'm a member of San Diego County Gun Owners Association and am a frequent shooting social mentor.

I like shooting USPSA but admittedly I have less and less time to as work has gotten more and more busy. Hope to join LGRGC or SBRGC when time frees up, otherwise PWG is what scratches my range time itch.

I have a variety of pew pews but not as many (or have as much safe space) as I'd like!

Hi All,
Well, after months of wondering why CalGuns wasn’t working I found this site. I’m looking forward to being. Able to research and join discussions again.
I used to shoot steal challenge matches, but haven’t since covid. My next adventure is an Elk hunt in October.

Another Calguns member. Saw site mentioned there. Like what I've seen so far. Screen name there was Tank 57. Have always used Tank Mechanic on other forums. Was registered to some one else on CG. Army Veteran (actual tank mechanic). Avid collector and shooter. Like all guns. Support 2A as much as possible.

I found this site on a Reddit post about calguns being down. Everyone said to join up here!

Anyway I’ve been in calguns for many years, I am in the high desert. I’m an avid upland game hunter with 2 dogs. My wife also shoots. I can be found at apple valley gun club usually once a week either shooting trap, USPSA and IDPA matches or just training. Glad to find this site!
