Who cares? It's been generally true that all of those guns were attempting to get on the roster, it's just that some like Glock haven't done it yet. why should he be bullied for letting us know companies are trying to get their pistols to us?

If 200 people put down $100, that’s $20,000 of customer money they’ve been holding for six months based on a preorder they opened before the gun was even rostered.

And with the Glock leak, that announcement moved the secondary Glock market for months. “Glock is trying to get something rostered” and “Gen 6 will be here by July” are not the same claim. Acting like these leaks have no effect on consumers is nonsense.

Realistically you can say this about any gun that any dealer is taking a deposit for. Kimber 2k11 is another prime example at this point and time.

Let's assume a dealer gets potential roster info from a manufacturer. The manufacturer is most likely getting that information from their DOJ representative. Any delay from getting it on the roster is strictly on the DOJ at that point and now all downstream sources have their information wrong.

Tough to say without knowing where any information source is coming from. That is why the only thing that really matters is what is on the DOJ roster Site. Everything else is speculation, maybe some just more accurate than others

I have given into the pressure of people begging to give deposits on firearms after they are announced. I have done it twice and both time blew up in my face due to them not being able to deliver anywhere close to the given date.

17 years later.... sorry I only sell what I have in stock. Its better than pissed off customers.

That said I don't want to throw any MFG's under the bus but what has happened and delays of things being added is sometimes 100% on them.

It's 100% justified to call out a business that has taken money but it's unable to deliver the product. On the other hand, I don't understand why people would put down deposits for something that isn't guaranteed to be added to the roster because none of those guns are limited editions that won't be restocked.

I think we also need to have some grace. It’s a hard business to run a gun store in CA with the high tax, costs, and limited product pipeline. My local store closed in August due to hard sales. I don’t disagree it’s not optimal to hype things that do not happen, but they are trying in a hard state.

Idk i run my Glocks with stock triggers and can win comps here and there. TBF every pistol out there is missing something or can be upgraded in some manner. Its like ice cream its just flavors pick the one that you like and run it

I'm talking about the Manufacturing of the firearms telling dealers.... hey order this.... they will be on the roster by this date....delivered to you by this date.....6 months after that date ......nothing..... and everyone blames the shop that took a pre order based on what they were told.

I mean there are classes in shooting where you have to draw from concealment and "most" people are running glocks or heavier trigger guns as they don't want to shoot their nuts off with a race gun with a 3 oz trigger.

Like I said, those leaks should never be taken seriously. It's just what could happen and not what will happen. For people to take those leaks seriously because they dont' understand nuanaces and then justify bullying R66 is some emotionally unstable Karen move. It's childish. Get off of it.

Let's try to be a little bit nicer to each other. The roster issue is real, CA will hold back things for whatever reason.

Everyone is trying to build the community and you have one entity that leverages the communities own impatience on itself. Granted, the reliability/consistency in the industry as a whole isn't the best.

The guys running 2011’s with sub 2 lb triggers appendix , ya man I don’t have the guts to do it. Glock with a minus connector is about as far as I’d go.

I can be nice, but saying that someone that continually cries wolf shouldn’t be bulled is wrong. They got bullied off reddit for the same thing. Stop posting rumors as an “authority”.
