Ruger Suspending Many Models from Production.

The LCR is also included in the discontinued list. That is a surprise. I doubt it will be updated.

Does anyone know how this move and Beretta’s attempt to buy a controlling interest are connected? How does this model line adjustment benefit or weaken either position?

So, my Ruger PC Carbine that has been a safe queen since I bought it. Might end up bringing a little (not gouging) higher price if I decide to sell?
Maybe in a few years, enough on shelves and warehouses to last a few years of sales.

Thanks, in no hurry, I probably will keep because it goes well with my 19 with standard mags and big sticks.

Good question. 25% isn't a controlling interest, but Beretta gets two board seats, so there's definitely some strategy in play. There's also a three-year "standstill" agreement that restricts Beretta from exceeding 25% ownership or engaging in another proxy fight. So it follows that Ruger may be eliminating less profitable product lines to improve margins and demonstrate that current management can turn things around, strengthening its position against further takeover efforts.
Another possibility is a more collaborative strategy involving streamlining operations and potentially consolidating production between the two companies.

We have to wait and see. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Ruger 2030. Changes to lineup and future.

the CZolt for Ruger could be unfounded rumor, but the others seem to be confirmed.
Yea, whomever gave you that info probably mixed them up. Beretta has been aggressively trying to work their way into Colts business via a hostile takeover and proxy fight. Apparently the FTC even stepped in a one point. This from Ruger tells the story pretty clearly:

Regarding these end-of-life announcements there's several statements in that Yahoo story you linked from back in March that may tie in:

"The company is actively transitioning headcount from legacy lines to high-demand lines to optimize labor costs."

"Margins are expected to benefit from a combination of manufacturing cost discipline and the ability to command higher price points on new, innovative platforms."

"New products (introduced within the last two years) accounted for 35% of Q4 sales, confirming that innovation is the primary driver of retail demand."

Hopefully some of these lines get resurrected, it's a shame otherwise.

Ruger PC, a very important component, the barrel is not sold by Ruger like they do for other guns. Taccom are the ONLY aftermarket PC barrel maker and the 💩 cost $400 shipped to your ffl since we in CA.

Basically, anything happens to that PC barrel you currently own, you f'd.

Maybe that is one reason for the end of production for the PC.

I would prefer they brought something out featureless but with out that stupid take down feature. That is the main reason I don't own one. I think it was a bad design choice.

400 dollars. Yeah, at that point i would sell what's left as spares and chuck the receiver in the back of the safe.
