I can't believe Calguns worked for as long as it did but now as of Tuesday it's not working for me.
 
I get the 504 many times too but for the past few days I was able to access the site until this afternoon.

They have a big problem with guests.. In a way, i keep going cause it's from a technical level, I want to know what's wrong with it. In my line of work, solving these kinds of problems is fun for me...

I was just curious. I like this site TBH, but I wish Calguns nothing but the best of luck in getting back on it's feet.

Yes, the number of reported quests compared to members seems way out of wack. I have no knowledge or experience in websites, but it seems that it should not be that difficult to prioritize member interactions, making quests wait until all member interactions have taken place.
 
Gateway timeout earlier today..
After seeing that some of the same old blowhards were generalizing participants of this forum in a negative manner, it is really no loss IMO. If they have a beef with the raccoon, they can take that up with him.
 
I scanned through the CGN market place last night. First 3 pages seem to be alive. Page 4 and higher you get into "sold" territory.
Most of the topic specific sub forum do not appear to be updated, there little to no traffic.
We're in 2025 (almost), it's an unacceptable performance level.
They did block the link I posted earlier on page 2. I suppose they don't want advertisement for another website in their announcement segment :ROFLMAO:

It's ok... They have a long road ahead of them. They're doing what they can to be territorial. If they could, they'd pee on the server to mark their territory and assert dominance.

In other news, Auto-Bump feature is getting closer to release and now I'm behind after my little stint on CGN. So I really have to back off and focus on the next set of upgrades for the site. Next set of upgrades will make it easier to log in and come with a bunch of improvements for the next steps in our journey here.

Sometimes, I have to tell myself I have to stop looking back and step on the gas. I've received a good amount of feedback. We're going to adjust some policies and update them too. We'll probably have a break soon, no changes and low touch for the holidays!

If you have suggestions, keep them coming.

We have some new sprites for reactions. $ and i'm looking for some others.

It's good for the moderators to listen to their constituents. It's good their admins are coming back too. They need to do that with us, we don't need to reciprocate.

I appreciate the folks who are reasonable here and understand what we're building is going to be good. Good attitudes and good tech will be good for the community.

Moderators to my knowledge didn’t get to those positions by election. They operate solely at the pleasure of the site owner, who can terminate their service at will. If those who use the forums don’t like what the mods do, they can either leave, or complain to the owner(s). If enough users don’t like it, the site may eventually collapse, unless the owner funds it by themself.
