Anyone else kinda underwhelmed with the announcements thus far; polymer wonder 9mm pistols and new cartridges that'll fall off the market in 18 months.

Every year is like this. If you’ve ever read Jeff Cooper’s writings (The Gunsite Gossip books), he said the same thing. In fact, he felt in 20th century there were only 3 rifle innovations: Wild West take down lever actions, straight pull Blaser rifles, forget the third but it might have been the scout. I think it’s hard to innovate these days in general. Will have to wait for hand held lasers.

Heck yeah. I want a 5" optics ready Canik and a 2011 that takes P320 mags. Both should be very affordable.

Just talked to Kimber and they are working on a couple of their 2k11s probably the 4" comp and a 5.

Glock just said they are working on a few things. Poor glock booth guy didnt look happy

haha well as long as they also put out non-comped versions I don't really care, people can shoot what they like. But it is weird that Sig for instance put out a double stack 1911 with a comp before the non-comped ones because competition-wise the non comped ones are more popular so they could have had free advertising from competitors.

the biggest innovations for rifles is just bullet shape and cartridge. Making super slippery long heavy for caliber bullets with high BC changed everything including how much powder you need behind it.

If Kimber's 2K11 makes it to the roster then the off roster market prices are gonna crash some more.

Affordable options from Canik would be great. We also need CZ to step up with the P10 options.

MRAD Covert It's a nifty looking suitcase rifle if there ever was one. Definitely outside my income bracket though.
