Shot Show and new California firearms

I think the series 70 vs 80 issue gets so overblown. The HD triggers are pretty damn nice, but too many folks get wrapped up comparing these and similar triggers to what you find in the higher end hand-fit DS 1911s, and that’s just an entirely different animal bred for a different purpose.

Agreed. There was no difference in grouping size when I shot the P4 back to back with my 24C even though my 24C has an EGW ignition kit. If the outcome is no different then why do I care about the mechanics being different? From a carry gun standpoint I also don't want that 2.5lb trigger in my Atlas. Heck no way.

We are also going to get more support for series 80 guns with the HD series and Sig GT series gaining popularity. It's only going to get better from heere.

SHOT Show is right around the corner, and 2026 is shaping up to be a great year for California handgun owners.

Despite the challenges of the California market, we’re seeing real momentum. Major manufacturers are stepping up and investing in California-compliant platforms, not just re-releasing old designs, but bringing meaningful updates and new options to the table.

Brands like Staccato and SIG Sauer are actively working to support California customers, and that commitment matters. It means more innovation, better choices, and platforms designed with performance—not compromise—in mind.

SHOT Show will give us a first look at what’s coming next, and we’re excited about what this year could bring for shooters in California. Stay tuned—there’s a lot to be optimistic about.
Can you by any chance shed some light on if you think the bodyguard 2.0 is going to hit roster? I have a friend waiting for it but Im not convinced its not coming

I think anything we see at shot that is possible for cali has already been submitted or they will tell use its going to be submitted and we should see the additions pop soone then later.

HK said a few more VP9 and the cc9 are in the works as well.

S&W said we will continue to sse more just didnt say specific models but more are in the works

My šŸ† went flat when Staccato released their models with the rear sight to the front of the optic. That was a I’m about to cum when it tells you ā€œOh your cool with me b

Staccato made me go limp when they released the CA Models with the rear sight to the front of the optic. It was waiting for that new porn to come out to just get slapped in the face with the, he is a she, she is a he, now they’re both lost with how the tools work.

Thank you for updates, excited for the mc9 prime
Oh snap so we are getting the Prime. Now I want a Gen 6, a Prime, and an Echelon 4.0C. I need to narrow it down to just one our my wife and bank account are not gonna be happy this year haha. I just can never bring myself to sell anything.

100% agree. Not only is the Staccato expensive AF, but the rear sight in front of the optic is a dealbreaker for me, more so than the price. I hate the front sight in front of the optic setup.

I ended up removing the ā€œrearā€ sight from mine and instead of the Staccato HOST optic plate, I used a Dawson plate that has an integrated true rear sight. Looks much cleaner and doesn’t have the annoying sight in front of the dot window.
