That’s what the 296.89 in his post wasDont forget about the 11% California Sin Tax.

Must be dumb cops because they didnt have to wait for the CA model lol
You said cops are now buying them up like hotcakes. Why would they have waited until now? They can buy whatever they want. What are you talking about? They can buy off roster guns and we have a case especially for them that includes a variety of Stacattos. LE is exempt from the 11% FET but not local sales tax. They don't even need to do the waiting period if their Chief of Police/Sheriff provides a letter.
Sorry I was unclear; the $3,300 is the price for the peasants.
The post to which I was responding indicated the 11% tax had been missed when, in fact, it was the first value in the previous computation. Sales tax and DROS were then individually itemized in that post. No, $2,699 * 1.21
Figure about 10% local sales tax plus 11% Gavin's Sin tax. You can call it "FET" -- Effing Extra Tax!
That is the $296.89 in my post. I left out the sales tax since that varies city to city.Dont forget about the 11% California Sin Tax.
I think the minute you work at a shop you become fuddlord 2000 lmaoYou said cops are now buying them up like hotcakes. Why would they have waited until now? They can buy whatever they want.
What store? My store has at least 8 prepaid. Cops are buying them up like hotcakes.
It's a cool gun and looks great with an optic on it.
What’s the potential for taking an “off-the-rack” frame and machining the CLI and mag release? If you’ve got information on your gun meeting the standards, you can move on the frames quickly.
There is a difference between an "LCI" and the needed "CLI". But this is silly...that's all it takes? My guess is the LCI is part of the extractor and the mag disco is part of the mag release, and the frame/slide/barrel are the same as the standard model.

11 CCR 4060:CA Pen 16830: “chamber load indicator” means a device that plainly indicates that a cartridge is in the firing chamber. A device satisfies this definition if it is readily visible, has incorporated or adjacent explanatory text or graphics, or both, and is designed and intended to indicate to a reasonably foreseeable adult user of the pistol, without requiring the user to refer to a user's manual or any other resource other than the pistol itself, whether a cartridge is in the firing chamber.
Mag Release is also shown here. $2,700 MSRP to start.(1) A functioning chamber load indicator must meet all of the following conditions:
(A) Explanatory text and/or graphics either incorporated within the chamber load indicator or adjacent to the chamber load indicator is/are permanently displayed by engraving, stamping, etching, molding, casting, or other means of permanent marking.
(B) Each letter of explanatory text must have a minimum height of 1/16 inch.
(C) The explanatory text and/or graphics shall be of a distinct visual contrast to that of the firearm.
(D) The "loaded" indication, that portion of the chamber load indicator that visually indicates there is a round in the chamber, shall be of a distinct color contrast to the firearm.
(E) Only when there is a round in the chamber, the "loaded" indication is visible on the firearm from a distance of at least twenty-four inches. When there is no round in the chamber, the "loaded" indication must not be visible.
(F) The text and/or graphics and the "loaded" indication together inform a reasonably foreseeable adult user of the pistol, that a round is in the chamber, without requiring the user to refer to a user's manual or any other resource other than the pistol itself.
Id say you are correctYeah it would appear that if Staccato sold spare parts like extractors and mag releases, one may accidentally lose these features.
I called Staccato today and spoke with a CA HD specific representative. So Extractors are "Custom fit" and "Tuned"Id say you are correct
The California Compliant model is equipped with a magazine release disconnect which prevents the trigger from being pulled when the magazine is out of the gun. This cannot be reversed, but can be configured for right or left hand shooter.

$3,300ish out the door after all the BS.

You cannot just order a non LCI extractor and put it in your CA model. you have to send your gun in for a new extractor... I don't understand why this is the case on an external extractor but that's what he told me.
Mag disconnect disable/reversal: Rep told me we are on a recorded line and all he could say is that the CA model ships with a right hand shooting left side mounted mag release. If the shooter is left handed and needs a right side mounted mag release then one will be sent out.
I meant to say "customers", not "cops".LOL um... LEO get a nice discount direct from Staccato on all their pistols. Theres no way local LEO are buying local CA versions of the P4.
Edit: even paying varying xfer fees to have pistol delivered to FFL... our shops cannot compete on price when purchased direct from Staccato
This. Ill continue to support companies that bring us quality additions through the hassle of CA.Judging by what other Staccatos are going for, I’d guess LEOs would try to sell the HD P4 for around $3.5K–$4K, which makes the CA version cheaper than off-roster prices. That said, I’m buying the CA version anyway — just to support Staccato for making the effort.
