It’s crazy, but sometimes it’s fun to game out a crazy scenario, even if it doesn’t make a lot of sense,

What about a PCC?

That’s what I would want if I’m inside my house and keeping people out or dealing with them inside. It’s enough, but it won’t explode your eardrums or temporarily bInd you. I like my Ruger PC Carbine for that. But if you are outside keeping people away from your neighborhood, and you need to reach out further, and you want more power, I don’t think a PCC is what you want. In that case, I think you want an intermediate rifle round, like 5.56, which is loud for interior rooms, but has a lot more range and penetration outside.

Possible but likely not very probable. Considering the releases from the FBI and Homeland Security about possible terrorist type attacks on the homeland, let’s war game a bit. Mainly interested in hearing from those who live in suburban/urban areas (OC for example). Imagine this, the power goes out, you hear booms and gun fire. Reports of a 10 man team of terrorist are in your city. What rifle set up are you grabbing to defend your home and neighborhood? Think October 7th style attack. Let’s say youre with your family and the only armed person. Maybe you have enough time to meet up with another friend or neighbor. Are you grabbing an LPVO equipped rifle or, red dot set up? Share your thoughts and reasoning behind what your set up would be.

Zero confidence in reports by fbi or homeland security, if anything they are foretelling false flag attacks.

Yes, back then they “Israeli doctrine” considered the Ruger 10/22 integral suppressed weapon system to be less than lethal.

At one of the crowd protest events where people people were getting rowdy, they fired a round into a women’s leg, but it hit bone, ricocheted up into her vitals and she passed away. After that it was reclassified to lethal.

That was a while ago. Pretty sure remembering that right.

I remember watching that video laughing because just as a guy was about to throw a Molotov cocktail or launch some sort of RPG they would drill him in the leg.

First rule of gunfight, own gun, train, plan, strategize, be realistic about your gear, its weight and actual viability beyond cool factor and your health/endurance.

In a real scenario, having a nondiscript backpack set to go with a quality knife, prybar, handgun w/ extra mags/ammo, dried food, water bottles, tourniquet, basic first aide, flashlight, water filtration straw (or filter pills, etc).

You are better off going on defense, avoiding strangers and conflict. If you have access to a rifle great, bring it; but still play the long game.

Remember, you win every gunfight that you can avoid.

To each there own, personally I would rather have small pair of binoculars to scope out my route from a distance, recon. Small, unobtrusive, and I am a smaller silhouette using these then a scoped rifle.

To me, staying quiet, unobtrusive and avoiding engaging is the key to staying alive.

I think sometimes people mistake survival with getting a kill count. Quite the opposite is true.
