What was your last Gun Purchase of 2024

Technically only "purchased" one gun in 24. Atlantic had a sale i couldn't resist in December 2023 on Pioneer AKs. Really liked the looks of the one with all black furniture and then I saw they charge $35 shipping regardless of the size of your order. so I bought the black one and one with wood furniture. Because of 1 in 30 and 10 day wait pickup on second one was 40 days after first.

Am preparing to move out of state (retired) and had my long time LGS tell me I should not buy anything else in Cal.

Did some research on Pioneer AKs before buying. Later ones switched to forged trunnions. Checked for both canted front sight bases (both OK). One flaw, only Magpul AK mags fit. Measured my Norinco mag well (.020" wider) and carefully opened them up with my Dremel. They both now accept and function with any AK mag. At the price, they were worth the gamble.

I picked up a Ruger MkIV 22/45. I'd been out of the loop for a bit and didn't realize they were on the roster!

I own a MkIII and want a IV. They’re really good guns.

Rock Island double Stack 45 acp on Sale at Sportsman warehouse. Shot it today for the first time and I really like it. Having the wide body grip the recoil is better handled in the hand. Planning on few upgrades on the ignition system and an Atlas trigger. Maybe I will buy another for a project.. atlas slide and a 9mm extractor to converting it from 45 acp to 9mm. on sale for $489.97 and on the CA roster.

Savage MK II FVT. This great rifle came out of the Cal Poly shooting club. Peep sights rock, as long as your eyes are still decent! (or young!)
Didnt get to shoot it a whole lot yet , here I was out on one of the last days of 2024 at the now sadly closed SLOSA range.

You will like the NHC Recon. That model was my first NHC. Beware, you will likely get a few different models along the way.

How do you like it? What magazines are you running? I was looking at one of these for my son.

I have one and it’s one of my favorites! Low recoil, low noise, cheap ammo and the ghost ring sights are incredibly accurate!

Last week I made three gun purchases but the very last one I put money down on was an Sig P365 that I found new for a tad over $500. I wasn’t in the market for another P365, I already own two, but I couldn’t pass on that deal. I figure I’ll keep it in my safe and gift it to my son when he’s of age.

I picked up 3 firearms in 2024 , Kimber Rapide Dawn 9mm , Colt Python 357 3” and Kimber KDS9C Rail. I hated the tax on Rapide and Colt.
