If they come out with a gen 6 ca compliant model it reminds me of when 1911s went from 70 series with no firing pin block to an 80 series design. People will want the gen 3 pre ban glock just for nostalgia and collectiblity.

Glock is NOT going to release any model specifically geared towards getting around this.
GPT in Gen 3 will not work cuz you can just put the original parts back into the gun.
Gen 6 is NOT going to be revamped / redesigned to deal with this. Whatever Gen 6 looks like, it's been on the drawing board for awhile and they are not gonna go back and make changes because of one state in the US. Glock sells guns GLOBALLY.
Go buy some glocks while you can and stock up on spares. It's the courts or nothing.

Never going to happen . 15 years ago I said the entire gun manufacturing community should boycott all CA sales until they dropped the roster. I even took the time to email 4 of the major companies. But they will always put their investors first over their customers.

Glock has lost CA civilian market. What makes you believe they want to lose the CA LE market as well? Business is all about the money.
That would be a win for the Democratic party. They will achieve the goal to make California gun free.
Yup. Glock didn't bother putting CA gimmicks in Gen5. Likely, they won't do it in Gen6. Glock wins on their simple, no BS, no gimmicks design. You take the gun, you pull the trigger, you know it will shoot. That's why Glock is arguably the most sold guns in America.

But the same point. I thought that gen5 was designed to address this problem. I am not Glock guy do give me a break if it isn't so.
If it is it would seem more logical to run gen5 through the roster tests than trying to save gen3.

I imagine that they will ban any rifle or pistol with the ability to accept a "high" capacity magazine regardless of configuration due to it's ability to function as an "assault weapon" or "mass shooting" weapon. They've flirted with this before. It will be bolt guns, lever actions, and revolvers for us after that passes.
After Prop 50 passes, expect for the bills to come flooding in.
This Glock thing is just the tip of the iceberg. As Newsom said,, "see you in court." They don't care about any Supreme Court laws. They have realized that the Supreme Court can't do anything to them and they can just ignore it.

It's not the first step, actually. California Democratic Party has been consistently implementing the gun control policies for a long time. There is no need for the very unpopular and likely anti-Constitutional door-to-door confiscation. It's just enough to make gun ownership very expensive and burdensome. You can't pass your AR-15 to the next generation, your kids are not able to purchase it, then it dies with you. Long term strategy in the works.
Don't make a mistake, every single gun control ban is aimed towards infringing your 2A right.
