Where do you draw the line and tell a buyer "you're on your own" after the sale?

I think you owe it to him to fly to the manufacturer and personally pick up the parts that he needs. He owns you now that he was a customer.

The moment I am paid. Literally couldn't care if something I sold caught on fire minutes later.
I sold a used road racing gixxer to a guy on Friday. Race practice was Saturday and the motor blew. He tried to complain but it was a used race bike so I told him to pound sand.

If I’m selling a firearm I always give the buyer a chance to look it over first (with consent from gun shop staff before uncasing a weapon). That’s their opportunity to raise an issue. Once money has changed hands and the paperwork is submitted to the state, my responsibility ends.

You have right of refusal with me "I know what I got" never had an issue, when items are exchanged it's over.
